Here are some pics of my recent hols in Turkey. We started in Istanbul. Then we went to Canakale where we took a tour across the dardanelles to the Galipolli battlefields. Then we went to the south west to a friends apartment near Altinkum

First night and a needed drink on a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Bosphorous
Image

Bosphorous again from a terrace in the Topkapi palace (where the Sultans lived and had a Harem with up to 5,000 girls-the most beautiful ones scouted from all over the Ottoman Empire.)

Another drink on another rooftop. This time with the Blue Mosque in the background.

Overlooking the Black sea at the end of the Bosphorous

This company may need a name change if they want to trade in English speaking countries!!

Image

Anzac cove where the Ausies and New Zealanders landed...so peaceful now!

Image

Anzac again.

Image

Temple of Apollo(near Altinkum)

Image

Temple again

Image

A lovely beach in a salt lake that use to be the sea thousands of years ago. Site of an old city bigger than Ephesus but not so preserved

Image

Lots of tombs can be seen around part of the cliff, there are over 2,000, in the sea and the rocks and cliffs . Some damn tourist got i this one!

Image

My birthday!!! Before I got drunk and befoe i watched lewis nearly win the race and before i had an absolutely foul meal!!(Unusual in Turkey, the food is usually very good.)

Image

And last but not least a hotel in Altinkum tha Im not sure Id want to stay in!

Er..Could I?? I think you told me how to do it once. I did it through photobucket because if I do it direct from my computer the photos seem to come out huge.

Awesome. Any shots of Gallipoli?

Well the Anzac cove ones I posted. Ive got lots more. Many of the war cemetries. Its very sad , some were so young . The youngest just 14. Maybe I'll find some more of Gallipoli but one upload a night is enough!!

I just took out the from the first pic and it looks just fine, so feel free to remove them from the other pics as well (but nothing else! :P )

No, you first copy the url of your pic, then come back to your post you're working on, click on the 'Img' button - your cursor will be just at the right place between to paste your copied url in there and you're done :)
