I think the original point to text speak was good. It reduced the numbers of characters used so that the thieves that are mobile network providers charged a lot per message. now that you can get SMS for next to nothing their is very little reason to do it.

However I think some people think they are cool 4 txt spk init.

I think most of us can forgive the poor grammar, we all make mistakes. However, text (or is that txt?) talk just baffles me. What is the point? You immediately alienate half of your audience because they can't decipher it.

yeah i agree, but txt speak came about because texting on phones had limited charecters or it cost you an extra 10p

so you compressed the words to fit more in.

but talking like that on a forum is pointless.
