Hehe - Amanda starts out nice but gets worse the further down you read... Juliet is similar - they're right about mentioning Romeo though!!

My personal favourite ...Amanda does NOT mean "A man DUH"

I feel old when people write like this. Back in my day we spoke properly and I didn't need a translator to read a text message.

Erm... I don't know what's going on here, or if we really need to talk about this. I think people let their guards down on internet forums. I'm certainly not joining in, I'd be rubbish anyway...

Have I got the gist??

Picking up scales and broken chords,
Puppy Dog tails in the House of Lords
Tell me darling, what can it mean?

Nobody's perfect, the only thing I can't stand is txt speak. But there are far worse places on the internet that get all neurotic over spelling and grammar, I remember one time somebody got the spanish inquisition treatment just because he missed an apostrophe...

people who can't spell should just give up the internets.

[texasmr2]

I was led to believe that the internet is for people who cannot spell such as I , I'll leave this thread with one last opinion concering this topic.

Is this really worth worrying about? IMO you, the OP, most likely have greater concern's in your day to day life, as most of us do, than worrying about something so trivial as proper grammar or spelling on an internet forum.

I think most of us can forgive the poor grammar, we all make mistakes. However, text (or is that txt?) talk just baffles me. What is the point? You immediately alienate half of your audience because they can't decipher it.
