That would be awesome, i hadn't really entertained the possibility of anyone other than Liuzzi getting the race seat, for whatever reason... :P:thumbup:

BREAKING NEWS: Fisichella has stolen Michael Schumacher's pillow, 'just to be safe'.

btw can anyone translate this properly

Hahaha. Galera, quem vai substituir o Fisichella na Force India e o Liuzzi. Ainda estamos em negociacoes pra F1, mas estou otimista! Valeu!

From Bruno Senna's Twitter...

Basically, I think: "Who will replace Fisichella at Force India, Liuzzi? We're still in talks about F1, I am hopeful. Thanks!"

But I wouldn't trust me on that. :hehe:

He said Liuzzi is going to replace Fisichella at Force India, and yeah, that he's in talks about F1, and hopeful he'll get a seat. :)

McLaren: KERS a big boost for Monza

By Jonathan Noble Friday, September 4th 2009, 11:55 GMT

McLaren believes its KERS will provide it with a big advantage at next weekend's Italian Grand Prix - but the team has played down talk it is clear favourite for victory.

The long start-finish straight at Monza will provide drivers with the chance for a double-boost in qualifying - both before and after the main lap - which should help KERS cars grab the top spots on the grid.

That factor is behind the optimism within the team about it chances for the race.

Heikki Kovalainen said: "I think our car will be reasonably well suited to the circuit. Like every team, we'll be running a special low-downforce aero package in Italy - but we'll also have the benefit of using KERS along the straights, which should give us a greater advantage over a single lap, especially in qualifying, where it will be extremely valuable. It should be fun!"

Team principal Martin Whitmarsh said: "Monza is notable for being a power circuit, and, with KERS, we should see some incredible speeds – particularly during qualifying when the drivers will double-deploy KERS along the start/finish straight."

Despite the boost from KERS, Mercedes-Benz motorsport boss Norbert Haug thinks the closeness of the competition in Formula 1 at the moment points to a very open field for Monza.

"No other team scored more points during the last four races than Vodafone McLaren Mercedes," he said. "In the remaining five races we will build on this with a healthy ambition – without seeing us being the favourites for Monza. There will be at least a handful of them, which is first class for the sport."

RB 30, Ferrari 30, McLaren 31 pts during the last 4 races. So, he's right technically, but come on, ONE point more? Considering Ferrari had 3 races with only one driver (if we count the two LB races)?

McLaren work on facts, often with no sense of perspective. But Ferrari did chose Badoer, so 1 race with 1 driver I grant you. On average the Scuderia are back at the top.

Stop bashing Badoer people, he's gone now!! Isn't that what you wanted? (Ah I know the answer to that anyway...)

If I were BMW, I'd be bringing back KERS for this race. Seeing how well they did last race, it would make perfect sense. That is, if they haven't already starting designing the car so it won't accommodate KERS. A KERS BMW could be the surprise package of the weekend.

From F1 Live:

Rubens Barrichello on Friday said his engine escaped unscathed despite its heavy smoking and fire at the end of last Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.

The Brazilian's Mercedes V8 was emitting grey smoke in the final laps at Spa Francorchamps, and after hanging on for seventh place the rear of the Brawn car caught fire on the way into parc ferme.

Brawn immediately diagnosed an oil leak rather than a terminal engine problem, and Barrichello revealed on Friday that subsequent tests showed no lasting damage to the engine.

"The team told me that my engine is fine after the fire," he wrote on his Twitter page.
"The gearbox seems okay but only after Saturday practice (in Monza) we will know more," he added.

Barrichello also said the engine used at Spa was his sixth out of his allocated eight for the season, but the other engines raced previously this year "can still be used".

I think they would have to go back to the old, more flawed car in order to use KERS. I don't think it would be as advantageous at that point. :-\
