Rosberg's making really strong performances this year, I think he's more than capable for the job - Kovalainen didn't show 1/4 of Rosberg's potential in F1 and managed to get there...

Either Quick Nick or Kubica as a replacement for Rosberg would be fine. I'm surprised there haven't been any rumours about Bruno Senna yet, or is he keeping his lips tightly sealed?

He seems to have slipped off the radar.

I thought pre-Silverstone that he'd be in a Brawn for 09.
Thankfully (for many) Rubens has done more than enough, since then, to earn his place next year. Here's hoping.

Senna still has a number of avenues. The replacement team for BMW, Manor, USF1 - not big names but options.

STR could even still be a poss, although it would be stupid of them to sign Neal Jani!

Realistically speaking, i'd be satisfied with lineup like this for next year:

Brawn - Button and Barrichello
Red Bull - Webber and Vettel
Ferrari - Alonso and Massa
McLaren - Hamilton and Rosberg (or Raikkonen of course)
Williams - (Kubica/Heidfeld or Rosberg) and The Hulk
Renault - Kubica (even Kimi, although as i've said before it won't happen) and Grosjean
Force India - Sutil and Luizzi
New Team (Lotus, Sauber, whoever) - Heidfeld? Nakajima? Senna?
STR - Alguersuari and Buemi? Senna?
Manor - Davidson and Carroll
Campos - Petrov and De La Rosa
Toyota - Glock and Nakajima? Kobyashi? Kubica? Heidfeld? - No Toyota?
USF1 - Senna?

Kovalainen out of F1? He's good but McLaren needs a great driver like Kimi/Rosberg

Good point, put him there with most of the other teams... :P

For the sake of speculation and interest: McLaren supporters - would you rather have Raikkonen or Rosberg in the team? And who do you think the McLaren powers that be would rather have?

Rosberg, for me. I think he's shown enough to suggest he's a talented driver, and, apparently, he gets along with Hamilton. Raikkonen is obviously talented, but he's too inconsistent and comes with too much baggage.

Rosberg, but then I'm biased. Rosberg is one of my favourite drivers, Kimi my least favourite.

Well yeh Rosberg more up and comming, Kimi is at the end of his career and with all the speculation of him going rallying...

That said Kimi we know is fast, rosberg might be...

Completely agree. Also i can see Nico maybe trying a little harder. Kimi & Hamilton? are you having a laugh  them two would not get on, Lewis loves talking to his team mate. I actually think Fisichella would make a good team mate to Massa just thinking about it. But back on to the topic at hand, Nico & Hamilton would make an amazing pairing in F1. They both really are alike. I think Nico 7 Hamilton could put on an awesome show for us!!!

Kimi & Lewis? I think McLaren fans might be a little disappointed, plus i think the main reason Kimi did so well at McLaren was down to Mr.Dennis.

i don't think Kimi liked Ron that much..

Kimi and Lewis would be fine simply because Kimi dosn't care who his team mate is

But Ron cried when Kimi won his first race :P?

From F1 Live:

The championship-leading Brawn team has reportedly made an offer to German driver Nico Rosberg for next season.

But the current Williams driver is more likely to become the first German to drive a works Mercedes since 1955, according to Bild newspaper. McLaren Mercedes is aiming to replace Lewis Hamilton's current team-mate Heikki Kovalainen with Rosberg beginning next year.

"It looks good that I can go where I want to go. But I haven't decided yet," he is quoted as saying.

McLaren does have some competition for his services however with Bild reporting that both Williams as well as Brawn are keen to sign up Rosberg for 2010.

He said at Spa Francorchamps last weekend that he wants to have a contract for next year signed within the next few weeks.

Not a surprise, but I expect McLaren will be able to seal the deal. McLaren's long-standing relationship with Finland continues.
