Great race. Great track! Great overtaking on real (ie not 'designed' for overtaking) turns...

Kimi's Turn 1 was definitely controversial... but considering his move on Barrichelo i think he had to go for it... and there was no way he could have kept on track for the turn without either crashing or causing a crash. That's the difference between Kimi and....... Nakajima, for example.

Webber's penalty seemed fair... although worth the risk of sending him out. It almost worked.

Still amazed by the Force India! their pace was more or less like Brawn at the beggining... both Kimi and Fisi drove great races. Maybe Kimi even better as he actually beat a better car? or Fisi because he wasnt sdupposed to be there? doesnt matter... great race by both.

Bummer that so many guys were taken out on L1. It would have been an even better race......

loved it when Hamilton got smashed off!!

Yeah, watching rival drivers get banged up and wrecked is totally awesome, like when Massa took a big spring to the face. God, I love it when bad things happen to good people, don't you? If only Lewis could have taken something clean through his skull, eh?

Here's hoping all the drivers pile up in a jumble of twisted wreckage, impaled on car parts, and blown up in a giant fireball in Monza!

(Of course I don't actually mean all that. I'm pointing out that being pleased to watch people get smashed is just being a giant douchebag.)

It certainly was an interesting race to watch, I was hoping that Fisi would turn over Raikkonen but that was unlikely with the Ferrari's KERS boosting Raikkonen up through Eau Rouge. I was disappointed that Jenson and Lewis got punted off by the two newbies, I would have liked to have seen Lewis up there in the battle for the win.

But well done to Force India for breaking their duck in spectacular style, from never scoring a point to 8 points on the board, nice work Vijay and co.

I guess that Renault weren't taking any chances today; the same problem reoccurring twice in three races, is there a design problem with the wheel fairing?

i agree 100%, i watch a race to see excitement and competition, not people getting hurt.

Nah, the wheel was banged on at the first corner.

I don't think the guy above[headless it is i think] was not hoping for lewis to get hurt,[like massa].
Sometimes the drivers we don't like we want their engines to blow up or something, safe exit/retirement so to speak.Com-on i doubt if anyone would want a life threating accident but a fun car jam is exciting ,you must admit.

Apparently they have spinners attached to the wheel and they're causing a whole load of grief. Does anyone know what they do? Do they just increase the rate of wheel spin?

I think they create better airflow around the wheel and help cool the brakes.

Yup they clean up the airflow over the wheels by reducing the turbulence and then they direct this air to more important aerodynamic components on the car. They also cool the brakes as a secondary function.

But we will only see them for 5 more grand prix's anyway :) think they're ment to gain about 0.1 sec a lap, something like that

If they give a standard advantage and all the teams use them, they're not worth the trouble.
