Things are going from bad to worse.

My main fear is that Button will keep on going like this, but still win the championship due to other teams taking the big points.

Nothing wrong with that though - if the competition sucks I have no sympathy...

I'm not worried about sympathy for the other drivers, how about some sympathy for the fans?

I'm not sure how to take this comment. Keke drove his socks off in an underpowered car and was mostly high placed when he finished. OK, so there were times when Keke was outperformed by other Williams drivers, but usually only by a few places.

Or do you refer to the deaths, or the political fighting for the control of F1?

After failing to finish surely not even he can believe he still has a 16 point lead in the title race.Surely he has to get a good result soon and then he really would be tough to catch

in many ways, today was a good result as to what could have happened!! Imagine if it was an all red bull and brawn podium!!!

Na: my bet is that Red Bull will continue not to their chances and gift the title to Button and Brawn. This is the muggiest title battle I can ever recall.

Red Bull are painting themselves into a lack of engines corner. Since Spa was meant to be a Red Bull circuit, it makes sense to use fresh engines and maximise their results. But they are going to run into a wall at some time.

But Alonso wasn't stuttering over the line. He was always there or there abouts. He didn't have the top car in the second half of the season, and he took full advantage of Ferrari's misfortunes.

In the second halves of 2005 and 2006, although Alonso was not in the fastest car, he was there to follow both Raikkonen and Schumacher home when they won Grands Prix. Button, however, is barely managing to score points. He's a right mug. Those comparing him to Schumacher and Alonso need to take a look at themselves. Unless Button starts to show some signs of life, he will not be a credible champion.

Surely you both knew i was joking... anyway, it could be strongly argued that Button took full advantage of the period where he had the best car and you simply cannot fault him for that. It's pretty clear to me that Button just has a nosebleed at the moment, and this dodgy run is a direct result of that.
