F1 is not just about the best drivers it's also about the best engineering and building the best car thats why the WCC exists.

People watch F1 for different reasons, my main interest is the drivers. If all the best drivers have good cars it makes for better watching.

The thing is tho if you have Alonso, Schui and Massa in the best car your gonna get 1.2.3 finishes.

Which is gonna be horrible for other teams.

Also what if say Alonso gets in a prime spot for the WDC vs Say Lewis. Ferrari can lockout the front 3 spots and Schui and Massa can play defender for Alonso meaning Lewis would have a proper mission to get past all 3.

Its bad enough with one driver playing rear gunner but 2...lol

i mean lets say Lewis gets past massa to take 3rd and starts closing i on Schui in 2nd.

Schui could just slow him down and Massa could just re-pass

Schumacher can play defender for Alonso?

Terrible idea, i seriously doubt it'll happen anyway. Usually there are 2 teams who are slightly ahead of the rest of the pack, so what happens then? The same set of drivers in the points every race? Yeah, that isn't completely dull and predictable. :hehe:

6 drivers that could finish in any order as apposed to 4. Seems less predictable to me.

I think it would work brilliantly if they were far fewer teams - it can't be fairly implemented when companies and sponsors are breaking the bank purely for the priviledge of making the grid.

Really, the main I would worry about is team orders and inner team politics.

Imagine a team made up of Alonso, Massa and Schumacher. It would be competitive to say the least. Crazy.

But we'll see. Next year we see BMW leave, and Toyota could follow suit. Manor and Campos seem completely unlikely to race next year. Then we will only have 18 cars on the grid, and 3 driver teams might not sound like a bad idea.

But personally I'd rather see teams like Ferrari and McLaren running smaller teams, like Red Bull do with STR.

Yeah he really wanted to help Irvine win Ferrari's first title in 20 something years, especially after the way Eddie ran his mouth off about him while he was injured.

If he actually came close to winning at the final race, I reckon Irvine would have been rammed off the road.

At any rate, 5 world championships later, it's Schumi's team now even if it wasn't then.

But he did though he let Irvine past TWICE.

That's an... interesting way to look at it. :-|

Yes but a fundamental part of F1 is the WCC that's why i think most fans support teams rather than drivers.

Disagree, it seems like only the hardcore fans follow a team (Ferrari being the obvious exception), the majority of fans just appear to follow whichever driver of their nationality is doing the best at the time. Or, they're just glory supporters who follow the most successful drivers. :hehe:

Teams struggle to put updates on one car let alone three.Would never get three cars the same in the same team.

ok guys. Let it be.
10 Teams = 30 cars, would this be a disaster in the track ? or ok .. not bad ?

30 cars going into the first corner tomorrow would be chaos. Great to watch, but it would piss the teams and drivers off no end. You'd be almost certain to have the safety car at the start of most races.

ok fine. What if, the 1st lap is run under safety car, from 2nd lap onwards the real race commences.

Then it's not good to watch unfortunately. I'd say to work it would need no more than 6 or 7 teams.

fact is there's alot of reasons against it and no real reasons for it.

If Ferrari want to race schui then they need to get rid of Kimi or Massa.

You can't have your cake and eat it in this case Ferrari.
