a scottish bloke wants eduardo banned, divings a sodding yellow card offence, celtic were out of it anyway, and why not call for something sensible like using cameras and replays?

That Scottish "bloke" had every right to ask UEFA to look at it.
The fact that Arsenal were crusing through to the group stages makes it even worse in my opinion. No need for cheats. He should no better Eduardo.

After all he knows what a real hack feels like.

aye, I don't agree with what he did by no means, but surley using tv cameras to assist the referee would be a much better solution? And if the ref had spotted it, it'd be a yellow card.

Oh aye it would, but video technology appears to be an ongoing debate between those who want to keep football's traditional values in tact and those who want to change them. Certainly video technology has never dampened Rugby or Cricket since it was first introduced.

what are these traditional values that will be ruined?

"blah blah it's not football. It'll slow the game down. It'll question the role of a ref"

That nonsense.

People caught diving should get, say, a 3 match ban for it after the game is over. Simple.

Plenty of half hearted diving attempts tonight, still a 115 minutes of relentless Messi finally broke through Shaktar's wall (:banghead: a bit like that I guess).

Ibrahimavic dissapointed, but some players will find their feet quicker than others. How do people reckon he'll fare this year? Is any centre forward worth Eto'o + £40m?

Ibrahimavic played tonight as he has done for Inter over the last season or two pretty much. He's well over-rated in my book and I'm very glad to have Eto'o on-board for this season. Shaktar defended well, I think it was a fair result all round

Good dealing from Jose then if that's the case. I'll hold fire before making my mind up, plenty of La Liga coverage across the season. He did make some poor decisions today, his selfishness outweighed his ability on the ball. He'll get ample chances to put things right though.

Anyone got any thoughts on where Schevchenko is likely to go? Ancelloti gave him the green light to leave today.

Back to AC maybe?
