Since it was suggested...

I just found this place and signed up. Looks like a pretty cool site, still have a lot to check out.

I live in San Antonio, Texas and am pretty new/big F1 fan. I've always loved it since I first paid attention to it in the mid-late 90's but didn't really follow it until the past few years and more so this season. I personally do not know any F1 fans so it'll be nice to chat with others who are interested. I've been a constant member of a car forum for the past year and a half, but no one there is really interested in F1.

I've lived in Texas most of my life but have traveled outside the US a few times and really look forward to traveling more.

I'm still feeling out the rules/vibe here, so I don't know how much to post. Feel free to ask any questions if you're interested!

This is me and my wife, so you know what this noob looks like...

Welcome dude! I think you'll enjoy it here as its a pretty friendly atmosphere, plus theres quite a bit of us yanks on here so dont worry about being the lone ranger.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Don't worry, I'm used to being the lone ranger 'round these parts. Not too many people I know are into cars/engines and anytime I mention "racing" to anyone, it's automatically about NASCAR or Indy KART series.

Besides, you'll pretty soon see my newness to the sport. I don't know much details yet and have no pull for one team/driver over another (yet). I'll apologize upfront for asking basic questions around here!

You aren't the only one....I don't have a team to support since Super Aguri's demise :(
Anyway...welcome :wavey:

Hello and welcome, I don't have any specific team allegiance also. I support my countrymen, that being the British (not English) drivers. You'll definitely find some very passionate and knowledgeable car lovers here on Forumula1.com

Thanks again for the warm welcomes. I look forward to the chats with you F1 experts. If there was an American driver, I would definitely be pulling for him, but for the time being, it's just the love of watching those teams negotiate the cars through the tracks.
