Yup HK lost us the constructors in 2008 no other way of putting it. McLaren need two very fast and consistent drivers! I don't care if it's Alonso, Kimi or Rosberg.

Nah both the Hamiltons would spit the dummy out.

I think Hamilton has matured just need to get rid of Ant!

I said something the otherday about Alonso going back to McLaren. I think that in some ways it wouldnt surprise me if he did go back. He knows the team. He can tell them that he aint gonna put up with the :bs: he feel he put up with last time, and not that Lewis has won the drivers title, McLaren wont be striving to give their main man that elusive first title.
I do however that Nico is a much better candidate for that spare McLaren seat, that everyone feels so sure is going to be vacated by Hekki next year. Nico is a young driver looking to push on in his career, whereas Alonso really is just a but of a big head.
Its going to bei interesting whatever happens at McLaren and Ferrari next year because eitherway, one of them is gonna have a fantastic former world champion, added to its lists, or a rising star so 2010 could be a good battle between them 2 teams

A team flows better with one driver being slightly better than the other. There is every chance at every GP Alonso & Hamilton will be a match for each other, so the win will come down to who pits first. That decision is made by the team so what will happen? 2007 all over again and no one wants that.

I dunno. I think Alonso-Hamilton in 2010 would work better than it did in 2007.

At the back of everyones mind including Alonso's is how Renault did what they did in 2005, 2006. Can it happen in 2010? Why not! I honestly think Alonso is considering Renault as a option in 2010.

You know, the mass damper should never have been banned... :-\

When Renault turned their form around last year and Alonso scored more points than anyone else in the second half of the season, I thought we'd see a return to form and a championship assault in 2009. That would have been great.

Well that was never truely going to happen with Renault's resources being plowed into the 08 car. I realise they had to try and secure Alonso's signature, but it really did hamper this year's car.

Now they've finished with the R29 and move on to next year. Hopefully with a renewed chance of fighting for the title.

According to Alonso, in an interview today, they have.
