Ach but that was the first season I actually properly remember as a youngster. I was so annoyed when DC had to retire. But brilliant action from Schumi and Hill. I remember all that crap about Schumacher and his driving antics too. Weird how things like that stick in your head.

Everybody always says that Schumi won that race in 1995 by using the safety car, but really Hill threw it away when he got a penalty for speeding in the pits.

Hill wouldn't have had Schumacher on the same tires anyhow. Schumacher won by holding up Hill and saving himself from having to go in the pits as often as him. I love that race, Schumacher got from 16th to about 5th by doing all his overtaking on the track!

On the subject of those classic races, was last year's race really one of the top 5 Belgian GPs ever? They have made some stupid choices this year, although it was worse at other rounds to be fair. '00, '04, '05 would all have been very worthy nominees, cause the action happened through rather than just at the start and end...

I agree on that. Palmer is annoying too, did you notice during Hill's stop that they had problems with a front wheel, yet he just ignored that. :S

The '08 race? Seems like someone from the BBC picked it to be included in the list. I don't know who said it was the best though.

The '08 race? Seems like someone from the BBC picked it to be included in the list. I don't know who said it was the best though.

I think they are sometimes limited by their archive at the BBC. However they will always hold it in high esteem for being the race where Hamilton was "robbed".
