I'm so glad I stopped following Football, they should have re-named that match the "Royal Rumble" except none of those fans will be going to Wrestlemania if they win. I hope bud was nowhere near that ground tonight.

I don't see why you say "Glad I stopped following football" and "I am ashamed to be a fan".
It is not like everyone presumes a football fan does that, not like, say, teenage supposed to be all scum, and all OAP's supposed to be grumpy.
Minority are what make all these typecasts, so people bailing out, makes it a worse concentration.

Another annoying thing is that we're trying to win hosting of a world cup, which would be utterly incredible, but this stuff really doesn't help.

It certainly doesn't help. It's not even as if the violence erupted spontaneously, it had been organised by both sides in advance. It re-lights the British football hooligan stereotype again, one that's takes more than a decade to start cooling off. It's utterly disgraceful and has a possibility of ruining things for the rest of us.
