london is rubbish, the tube is full of smelly people who don't shower, used metro papers and snobby city types.

you can't drive because of the sodding congestion charge

and if you choose to walk there's a load of angry cockaney's who like to simply walk into you.

Other than that whats not to like?

I hate it when people just ignore, or walk into, you in cities. Where I'm from it's considered normal to talk to random strangers a at bus stop, I've had some lovely conversations (particularly with elderly women) that way, but never try it in London.

Even where I am isn't so bad for that kind of thing, and my town is reasonably-sized. I find it's only with the bigger cities that you get that kind of thing, fortunately. Last time I was in London, I was squashed in to a corner on the tube by some rather inconsiderate folk. You know, pressed in to the side because they were practically leaning on me. It was awful.

yeah in London on the tube they just try to avoid eye contact.

even if you were to say ask for the time you'd simply be ingnored.

the North is so much nicer, especialy as you get further out in the country side away from the citys.

London, Paris, New York, Rome. It's fun to go traveling, but you've gotta come home.
