Greetings. I'm an F1 fan from the endless cornfields of Illinois (but originally from California) and until the end of this year will be an avid BMW-Sauber fan. I'm pretty easy to get along with, clean up after myself, and seldom make a mess. I'm looking forward to the (hopeful) rise of F1-dom here in the US. I'm confident that US F1 and Formula One in general can bring the spectacle back State-side, and with an American team and driver on the grid we can end the suck that is NASCAR.

The agricultural outputs of the state are cattle, sheep, wheat, sorghum, soybeans, cotton, hogs, corn, and salt. Eastern Kansas is part of the Grain Belt, an area of major grain production in the central United States.

I'm in south central Kansas and I haven't seen a single cow or sheep in the 10 months I've been here. Lot's of flat prairie land with the occasional tree as county borders.

Give me back my Devon/Cornwall coastline any day... I guess the love for my wife is strong to keep me in purgatory.

Have you thought about which way you're going to lean after this season when BMW Sauber is no more? As a sentimental supporter of Sauber (I support drivers not teams) for nostalgia reasons, I sure hope they can somehow survive and race again.

Have you thought about which way you're going to lean after this season when BMW Sauber is no more? As a sentimental supporter of Sauber (I support drivers not teams) for nostalgia reasons, I sure hope they can somehow survive and race again.

I've always found it interesting that most people are supporters of the drivers and not the team. I've always surmised that it had to do with how fickle manufacturers were when it came to involvement in the sport (Honda, BMW are perfect examples), so it's always better to get behind an established driver who's not going to Piquet himself out of a job.

That said I've supported BMW as a sentimental endeavor mainly because I drive one. They're fantastic road cars, and I have no intention of purchasing anything else. My friends and family tell me this makes me a car snob, but... meh. Oh well. Lol.

I used to despise Alonso, but he's really impressed me of late with his complete 180 in demeanor. If I had to claim a favorite driver Kimi would be up there along with Heidfeld. I think Webber's pretty awesome, and for some reason I've always liked Button. Vettel's in my top five; I'm on the fence with Hamilton. His polite, do-no-wrong demeanor is coming across a little disingenuous these days.

So, no other team for you then after this season?

US F1. They're joining the sport for all the right reasons, and I think they'll be a great addition to the grid as well as being in a position to apply a little pressure to the rights holders to get something back on these shores. Ferrari's fun to watch, but they're almost a caricature of themselves with their elitist attitudes. I believe in F1 being the pinnacle as much as the next guy, but not to the point of stifling competition because of no pre-established pedigree (I'm looking at you de Montezemolo).
