i saw in the paper over the weekend he said he would never like or try to win a race again if he won this championship  if he doesnt win (not trying to be harsh or anything) it will be one of the biggest flops ever ! i mean he had like a 40 point lead at one point

well there's one thing with being more aggressive then there's going for it too much making a chicken of it and loosing all 10 points.

I think hes just abit miffed Ruby out did him, its a car setup issue surely

I think more aggression is what is needed from Jenson. When he is out in front he's just fine but doesn't seem to do so well battling for places in the points. Jenson is a fast driver but his smooth driving style isn't so useful when tucked up behind a slower car. He needs to take more calculated risks to win this world championship!

This is why i say that Button will not win the WDC,no way at all,he hasn't got it in him. Button is a medium driver at best and over his career he hasn't always been in a crap car and still didn't win the WDC. Their is only one driver in the UK that has it in him to win a WDC and that is LH. Button is proving that he really isn't all that as a driver and now Rubens is catching his bottom,he can't handle it.

Two points. Firstly, Button only ever had one particularly good car before the BGP, but it was nowhere near a match for the Ferraris of that year. Secondly, both Button and Davidson have it in them to win the drivers' championship.

I believe that Jenson can win this world title but he does need to step upto the plate. Ultimately if he can't win it in a car that is fast and reliable with an 18 point lead there's no hope. I'm not convinced that Rubens has what it takes to beat Jenson, this is only one win out of 11, it's not like he's been second to Jenson constantly either!

Button needs to view Rubens as a threat, because he's still mathematically capable of surpassing him. This might be just what's needed to cure Button's losing ails. Unfortunately I'm inclined to agree with others in their assessments of his driving tendencies. He's no Kimi Raikkonen to the first corner, instead favoring the safer, cleaner line... even if it puts him a position or two down. He's proven time and again that if he doesn't have a lead within the first few laps that his chances of rallying significantly decrease. Button's a fast driver; potentially one of the best. But his statement that he's going to be more aggressive is akin to a leopard vowing to change its spots.

His car needs an update, he needs to sort out his tire temp issues, and he should internalize Rubens's win and turn it into motivation to push harder where he has really shined this year: qualifying. He's unstoppable from the front row.

I think he has already put this theory into practice - see that speculative move he tried on Webber on the first lap in Valencia.

He simply needs to qualify better, starting 5th is no good. He needs to be on the front two rows for the rest of the season and then a couple more wins will come to him.
