I'd like to see Hamilton vs Kimi and the rest of the group trailing them, just for old times sake. It's going to be hard for mclaren to compete against Red Bull but I have a lot of faith in Hamilton. Vettel is going to win :)

relax guys, Luca Badoer was just sandbagging this race, his true potential will be at Spa, he got this one, pole to finish.

That's what Mr Di Montezemolo thinks
“First of all it was important for him to finish. It was difficult you know... We need to stay cool and calm and we know that it was important for Luca to finish. I respect that. I'm sure that we have seen a Luca that has not really shown up, but he has real potential. Apart from the fact he was racing for the first time in a long time, also from a psychological point-of-view, the pressure on him was very high, even if we didn't create it.”

Oh i do like laughing at Ferrari's awful decision making

Alot depends on the weather.

Everywhere you go... always take the weather with you...

So by that logic it should be sunny seeing as bud will be in attendance .... and he's Australian.

Then again one of my friends is going and he's Scottish.

Therefore I predict a wet-dry race. :hehe:

Red Bull are going to trounce everyone, simple.

Kimi is brilliant at Spa

 Beat Schumacher in 2004 in a far inferior car, made Montoya look like a joke in 2005 (plus that ingenious move that stopped him having to queue up in the pits), he just dominated in 2007 and then he led comfortably for most of last year's race, until those crazy final few laps where anything seemed to go. Not bad really.

The Red Bulls and Raikkonen being on the podium would be completely unsurprising here.

If, like Valencia, every single F1 race was a procession with absolutely no incident whatsoever, I think I would still get excited about Spa. Regardless of what happens it's beautiful to watch the cars drive round, and I always get a little buzz out of seeing an F1 car scream through Eau Rouge.

I both hope and expect that Lewis will win the race, he deserves it after last year and he's got the car for it this season. Vettel is due a strong finish and I think he's got a good chance of getting on the podium. The championship battle will in all probability tighten this weekend, and that can only be a good thing coming into the final twists and turns of the season. Qualifying isn't as important as in Valencia, and so a lot will come down to fuel and tyre strategy. It's set to be cold and there aren't too many slow corners so the tyre wear should be manageable. Can't wait for this one.

A very tough decision to make because the KERS team's will be fast on the straight's yet the BrawnGP and RBR team's have an advantage, imo, in the handling department. Fast in and fast out could make the difference in passing on the straight's for the KERS team's.

One thing I DO KNOW is that I dont have to wait another darn month or even two week's for the great spectacle that is Spa!

im a big hami/mclaren fan.

You would not happen to be English and following F1 for the past 1-2yr's would ya, just curious? :P

Ohhh....BURRRRRN.

Seriously though Tex, you better be careful. "She" does not like it when people chat s**t about Lewis Fans. When she gets back from her holiday, she'll be on you like flies on a fluffernutter sandwich left outside

She's gonna get you for that. Quick, I'll save you. Here's a picture of Juan Pablo Montoya!

Now she's gonna get me... :hehe:

Ahem. On-topic, I'll be interested in seeing what the Force Indias can do here. They were pretty good back in Germany, then we had two lower-aero circuits. They've been fast in a straight line, in cooler conditions and in the wet. They're edging ever-closer to points and are no longer the worst team on the grid. They're making serious steps forward and I, personally, would love for Adrian or Giancarlo to score this weekend in Belgium. :)

From F1 Live:

Lewis Hamilton came close to recording his second straight win of the season on Sunday in Valencia. He and the McLaren Mercedes team claim that they simply did not have the pace to beat eventual race winner Rubens Barrichello but an error in the final pitstop arguably denied the defending champion the chance to record his 11th career victory, something he predicts will be a tough challenge this coming weekend in Belgium.

"It was a great weekend and the team ought to be really satisfied with our result," said Hamilton. "We can't complain, we're up there at the front and we led most of the race - some you win and some you lose. That's motor racing. As I've said before, we don't have the best car just yet, we've still got a lot of work to do but the positive thing is that I genuinely believe we can catch up."

Despite the disappointment of not winning the European Grand Prix and being forced to settle for second position, the recent races has seen a remarkable turnaround in the competiveness of the MP4-24 package with Hamilton scoring 18 of his 27 points so far this season in the last two races.

"Before the recent upgrades, we'd have been hopeful of getting into the top ten but now we're regularly hoping for a win or to finish second - and that's a big difference and very encouraging," he said. "We're definitely strong again - but we're not fastest. With KERS, we are there or thereabouts but we still lack two or three tenths to the Brawns.
Hopefully we can make some further changes to our aerodynamic package - Spa will be an interesting test for us."

The Hungarian and European rounds of the championship are relatively stop-start in nature and do not feature long sweeping corners such as Pouhon and Blanchimont at Spa Francorchamps. It is these longer high speed turns that put a premium on downforce, McLaren’s Achilles Heel for much of the season.

"I don't think we'll be as competitive as we've been at the last few races, because Spa is a circuit where you need a lot of downforce," he admitted. "I think Brawn, Red Bull and even Ferrari will be fast there - it's a high-speed circuit and Ferrari has always been very quick there, so I'm expecting Kimi to be quick. It should also suit the Red Bulls because it's very high-speed and flowing and they have great downforce.

"But, like most races these days, it's going to be very competitive. For ourselves, we need to ensure that we are competitive without KERS, so that when we use it, it will give us the advantage that we need."

Tough one to call think I will go for a RBR and Vettel to win.

The weather is looking changeable,so Brawns will struggle and the McLarens reivival will be tested on a fast track.
