i've got a camera on my phone which is guaranteed to be better and the extra capacity wouldnt bother me, its not reli a major upgrade imo

So? The iPod touch is already the best MP3 player on the market (Excepting the iPhone), it can't have a major overhaul every 12 months.

I have a 32GB iPod Touch and I use it all the time, although the 3rd generation iPT's are rumoured to be coming out soon with the camera's from the first two iPhones on them.

Although saying that, the Microsoft Zune HD is coming out soon and I'm hoping to get one of those because I'm sick of new revisions every year, at least I'd like two years of the current model before shelling out another £300+ on a version with a few extra bells & whistles.

This makes no sense. You don't HAVE to get a new device every year if the current one is working just fine. So, you'd rather be stuck for 2-3 years with the same old Zune with no option to get a new, updated one?

That kind of thing isn't really an issue with me, since I'm notorious for making technology last as long as possible (I still have a socket A computer running in my house ;)). In terms of audio quality, everything seems to be pointing towards the Cowon S9, but I'm not sure if I want to spend that much. :-\

It's important to be able to show off to your mates. :hehe:

Denth are you really desperate for a touch screen and (especially) the ability to play FLAC music files?

I like keeping upto date with things, so I like to have the newest, so the slower they make them, the longer I can be 'in date'.

Well, then get this

and start yodeling.
The design hasn't changed in ages, so you're always up to date.

Just because I'd like to update, the majority of the time I don't end up doing so. I don't want to be classed as a snob who 'has' to have everything immediately, because I'm not.

On topic: Creative Zen Mosaic's are nice, good interface aswell.

Oh and I imagine alot of tambourines are made of plastic now.

They're both things I could live without. I'd like FLAC support more than a touch-screen, to be honest. But a touch-screen would be nice. :)

Yeah, but they update the zunes every year as well, and the zunes (Including the zune HD) are and always have been 1-2 years behind the iPods.
