It was hard to get my wife to watch F1... but she likes Alonso and Adrian Sutil, also says Kimi's alright...
So now at least she watches part of the races. But escapes at the smallest opportunity!!

Hopefully with the USGP they will do more F1-driver drama and real life stories to appeal; maybe during the pit stops or something...
Maybe get the guys who do Desperate houswives or umpalumpa and the city to cover F1

None of my family or friends like motorsport and any attempts to persuade them of it's greatness are pointless, they just aren't buying it. That doesn't mean I don't make them watch it on occasion but it's usually more painful to me, listening to them moan, than it is to them.

I think that your right there. I know a few people who love F1, but more that dont. The thing is, F1 isnt just a race that we watch once every few weeks.
We watch the practice sessions (even if only the results), the qualifying, the race and all the politics that goes on besides. F1 is a world/community of its own and its their loss if they dont want be involved! Thats how i look at it!

I suppose f1 being very much a technical sport makes limits its fanbase, getting excited about pit stop strategies, how the brawn uses its tyres, some of my friends don't watch f1 cos they're no into sports, and some don't watch as they don't consider it a sport
