I really don't see how there is anything wrong with running a promo session so that a new driver can get a feel for the car. It's not like a test session where they can test new parts and make the car faster. The tyres are so poor you would not get any worthwhile data. If the data produced was decent i think many more teams would be running 'Promo Sessions' .

Well the seam to have convinced the FIA so they have decived them thefore they are being deciftul otherwise we'd have an inquiry like when Schui tested the F2008

To be fair, that inquiry was into the tyres used. There were concerns because the tyres were slicks, and they wouldn't have been allowed to use this year's tyre specs. As we all know, those tyres turned out to be GP2 tyres.

True, but that was becuase the FIA belived they had been decived and Shui was infact running the current Bridgestone F1 tires

Surely the FIA should investigate the promotional value of this "promo drive"

Sorry but seams to me Ferrari asked and got told no, so this time they simply did ask.

I suppose the deceitful was thing originally started by me.

The fia will allow Ferrari to run a promotional event, sure, what they won't allow is baodor to have practice in the 09 car - which is really what all this is about. The fia kinda have their hands tied, since it is being run as a promotional event. If ferrari came out and said we are going to just give baodoer some practice would that be allowed?

Interesting fact about Badoer this weekend that I worked out, he will become the first Italian to do a race in a Ferrari since Nicola Larini in 1994.

Thats the sort of thing a commentator like James Allen comes out with when there is processional race going on :P

Looking more and more like Gene was indeed the better choice.

Or Ferrari is in-season testing some secret new parts under the hood with LB.
Oooh, conspiracy :twisted::rofl:

-Looks at the times-

Let's just say if they are, I doubt Brawn and Red Bull are quaking in the AlpineStars*

*Well, Red Bull and Button probably are, but it's only because of all those energy drinks :thumbup:
