The emails were not between FA and his engineer during a test, they were between FA and PDLR, two drivers, during a test, but this was BEFORE the dossier, and the info gets passed around the paddock between teams all the time.. just that most people are not stupid enough to leave a paper trail. being stupid does not make FA a nazi...

The gas issue is not anything special, Ferrari have been using a gas rather than pure oxygen for years, McLaren have not as Michelin did not support this as a possiblity. they will have been experimenting for a while and someone just let them know what Ferrari are actually using..
The gas is nothing amazing, they just started using a gas so that there was less variation in tyre pressure as the tyre warmed up, and coled down, ie. behind a safety car. this is part of the reason that ferrari used to seem to have more grip immediately after a safety car pulled into the pits. The FIA gave permission to the teams years ago to do this..

Sense sense sense!! So glad somebody on here talks it regarding the "cheating" allogations. Cant understand why so many folk are blinkered. The biggest scandal is why only McLaren get singled out.

This is interesting info. If the discussion between FA and PDR was before the dossier, than FA can't blackmail RD. But what we hear in the media is the other way around. Till now I haven't read anything that shed enough light on the whole situation. Did FA really blackmail RD or was it that RD was trying to set up FA. How is it possible for FA, PDR and others to discuss Ferrari info and RD not knowing about it. You would expect RD/McLaren to conduct an internal investigation and check all emails/phone records/computers before they went before the FIA the 1st time. So either RD was aware of it at that time but chose to keep quiet or they didn't do their jobs properly and investigate everything that's circulating in their team. So who are we going to believe at this point?

i think that alonso still has more evidence to finish off mclaren, he wont submit it on the condition that the team backs him up for the rest of the season, and gives him no1 status. watching the belgium gp its clear that the whole team including ron dennis are bitting their tounges on what they say about alonso, on one hand they can win the drivers championship with the very hated alonso or they can be disqulifed for the drivers championship and next year as well. its a lose lose situation for ron dennis and mclaren. its very easy for alonso to go to the fia and say "i forgot to submit this evidence too it slipped my mind"

Why should RD know about personal emails between drivers? they have personal pc's and laptops... they have personal mobile phones for their texts, so he has no access to these..

i'll bet that McLaren HAVE run an internal enquiry and they DO regularly check phone records/emails etc.
The fact that these emails were before the dossier means nothing really, it just proves that info like this gets passed around the paddock all the time, as the info they're discussing is not really that important to hide, as the weight distribution and brake ballance is easily changed, and more importantly Ferrari's settings would make the McLaren very hard to drive and visa versa, due to the suspension geometry and wheelbase of the cars themselves..
