And it was you who used 'lumping' first

Please refresh my memory.

I did think he had a french parent. I know he was always considered a frenchman.
So now I know he's french the same way Nico is german.

Poo I keep lumping that with Italy! Oh, so why do they call him a Frenchman?

There's a difference with NR: he's German because his mother is German (apart from having been born in Germany). Unlike in JA's case, the fact that NR was born in Germany has NO bearing on his citizenship. Germany is one of the countries that defines citizenship by blood relation, not by place of birth.

Ah fack my bad, I thought you were calling my comment "lumping" and I thought you were referring to my initial Alesi post.
So anyway I heard Massa can't drive in Valencia. Wonder who will take the seat.

They have a test and reserve driver so I don't know why there was ever any question about him. If I were hired as the test and reserve driver then I would expect to get the seat. I wouldn't want to do my duties with the fear that I might not get reserve duty hanging over my head.

A good test driver doesn't necessarily use the same skill set as a race driver - see, e.g., AW, a great test driver and a lesser race driver. So, your logic with respect to causality is flawed I'm afraid.

Wurz was a great race driver early in his career. i think it is the act of testing over a season or two that causes the test drivers to loose their competitive edge. They become specialists in a field which is subtly different to driving an F1 race. It's like professional footballers who play up front, they need to play competitive games to stay 'sharp' and i expect it is the same for F1 test drivers

Then Gene ought to be the one in the seat. He's the one who actually tested the F60. Badoer's been out of (F1) action for a while.
