Agreed. Whilst the sport must evolve, its fundamental components should not be done away with.

Commercial interruptions come for free

Not on the BBC :hehe:

Yeah, but before on ITV y'all were bitching. Plus the commercial-free broadcast you pay with your TV fees.

And now we probably have the best F1 coverage in the world :D!

Good for you - 'bout time! Y'all claim it's a British sport, so you may as well get the best coverage. American football is well, American, and we have the best coverage in the world :P

So do we, we just use your coverage. Right down to the US-Networks-branded graphics packages.

Explain?

We get US football coverage as well as Ice Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, just with British punditry when the US coverage would normally go for an ad break

Good for you

I would argue that it is a French sport...

Precisely. Which is why it is absolutely ridiculous that we have no French Grand Prix! :(

There's Monaco, which is kind of French xD

Recently I watched a couple of rounds of F1 from back in the 90's that had something like that in them. It was Murray Walker and James Hunt doing commentary but every once in a while it would cut to some TV studio in Australia where Alan Jones and some other stooge would give a few minutes of insight to what was happening , then back to Murray and James. Very interesting, yet slightly bizzare.
