He may talk some crap (the race wasn't that bad, at the front it was but there was action in the thick of the field as well) but he may well certainly be right.

i think the guys down in the padock know who confirmed for where well before us, so i think James has just let it slip.

So Alonso probaly has signed back to renault, and it will be annouced soon.

I personally didn't think the race was that bad. I can't understand why he is saying that. I've seen a lot worse.

As for Alonso leaving McLaren, I can't wait. He thinks he is responsible for McLaren's return to form and forgets that Formula One is a team sport. The driver is barely 1% of the total efforts of the team.

...but he may be way more than 1% of the total efforts to screw up a team's reputation.

I agree totally, 120% with that, as I've mentioned on other threads. I want him out! There is not exactly a shortage of talent around so he can be replaced with a fair amount of ease.

Its hardly rocket science to suggest Alonso will be at renault next year. James Alen is probably just stating the most blindingly obvious scenario. The one I feel sorry for if that happens will be Heiki.

But then it will be Heikkis chance to see if he can match the big boys and having Alonso as a teammate is got to be the best comparison.

i agree.. hopefully McLaren will try to sign Button, or Sutil to replace him..
(Button deserves a decent car, and Sutil would be a good team-mate to LH)

unfortunately for Heikki, he won't be given equal equipment for 2 reasons...

1: Alonso won't make the mistake of not specifying number one status in his contract again..

2: Flavio loves him and will stamp on anyone who tries to beat him within the team... just look at how Fisi was treated last year...

Looks like James Allen has just let it slip.
But it seems that Alonso is going to Renault next year.
Read the very last paragraph and find out why

no way....that was ja just speculating!...fa is off to Ferrari mate, no doubt !!...Ross Brawn said 3 years ago he wanted to work with fa after tricky retired.....the timing is all falling into place for the real dream squad....FA and KR at Ferrari......they will be unbeatable next year, and the wdc will be a 2 horse race between them :D

Ron and his equal status nonsense has created this situation....i cant believe hes been so clueless....now when FA goes, the 4-22 will lose a lot of what FA has added, and all the expectations of the team will fall squarely on Lewis`s shoulders!!!!...bit early for a rookie to suddenly be carrying his team in only his second season!!!!...ron has reallymessed up big time this year  mercedes want hin gone now, and it looks like they will waant to drop the McLaren name with him after the name is now associated with cheating!!!!:(

First thing, it against the rules for teammates not to compete aganist each other, Ferrari was fined $1 million. Secondly what you fail to understand Lewis is very talented even Ron Dennis didn't think he be this good. F1 is great because four men can all compete it not a one way race anymore only cheats or cheating nation would like it other wise.

The face of a cheat

I think if Alonso wants to leave they don't actually have to pay him.
Which is good, cause he dosen't even deserve anthing from this year.

@ Phil THO
WTF, Ferrari is not some open seat team. Ferrari already have 2 of the best drivers, and neither of them will leave till they reitre now that they have equal driver rights.
Besides, neither driver will leave till they retire, which means Kimi will leave before Massa causes he older.
