Hello everyone, I've been rather busy of late building a comparison site (hence why I haven't had much opportunity to post on the forum - boo hiss!). The comparison site has just left testing, and I'd be eternally grateful if any of you would like to have a look, compare some products you'd like to buy, and feed back about your experience, with observations and suggestions on how we might further improve the site.

The site is called 'Checkout Spy', and you can reach this comparison site at CheckoutSpy.com:)

I don't deal with funny money - a pound is a measurement of mass, not a currency! :P

I may of been a bit thick as to how this works. I just clicked on Tomtom One XL with euro maps it says it costs £199.99 but when I click on it it opens up the website saying it costs £79.99

Is that right or should it be showing 79.99 on you page?

looks good but (please don't take this the wrong way) theres are sites that do the same thing better.

More customisation is required, for instance i'm looking for a new tv although you can choose between type of tv but you can't choose any other details.

But with Kelkoo For example:http://audiovisual.kelkoo.co.uk/d-lcd-tvs,Toshiba-100311823

Compared with:http://www.checkoutspy.co.uk/browse/102/electronics/televisions/lcd-tvs

So if i wanted a 42" TV With HD i'd have to click though alot of results

looks pretty good, but some stuff - get adult movies off the front page family friendly is good.
Havent got an account but user customisation is very useful, reviews etc - take a look at amazon for example. when people click on a product take them to the product page not instantly to the site selling page - so prices can be compared, and information found etc.

Think also for navigation a continuous rolling thing would be better than having to click through to make it more specific (the layout and sub-categories seem fine), so I'll mouse over categories, then I'll mouse over games consoles and accessories , then I can mouse over the subcategories etc. Also for deliveries include delivery charges, and for compaines a trust rating, or a seal of approval that their trustworthy.

Thanks for your feedback, it's much appreciated and will be incorporated into future releases. One final thing though, is anyone else finding the site particularly slow?

It depends how slow you define slow? :P

Certainly it took me a little longer to load up the page when I clicked on the link, but this could be a result of my crappy internet.

Apart from issues already mentioned, it's very nice. One other thing though is that I feel the colour scheme should be different, as I'm not so keen on the orange. :)

I've only just realised that we can change our background colour on here. I've had the light grey and orange since I registered but now I've got dark grey and orange  In fact the whole layout is different, my avatar is on the other side, I'm a bit lost :yikes:
