I do wonder how many of the teams on the reserve list still have active F1 programmes after not being selected to occupy one of the three grid slots? We know for sure Lola won't be selected as they pulled their name off the reserve list after not being given one of the three slots. A decision needs to be made soon as time is fast running out to get a F1 team together! The longer this whole situation drags on the less likely the selected team will actually make it onto the 2010 grid!

Well, the longer it takes, the more time for Sauber to get sorted...

Superfund have just confirmed that they have scrapped theirs.

Superfund already gone although I don't think they had a F1 programme to start with; it was more of an idea than a functioning team! Waiting for Sauber is a dangerous game as the BMW Sauber's team won't seem so attractive to buyers now it doesn't have an automatic right to be entered into the F1 championship! Which means that Mosley may decide to stay on as president because he didn't achieve his dream of having 13 teams on the grid once again!

What'swiththefontsizechanging???

Too much time on their hands maybe? :hehe:

From F1 Live:

While the F1 world focused on Michael Schumacher's near-comeback, BMW reportedly kept working on trying to rescue its Swiss-based Grand Prix team.

The Munich manufacturer's decision to pull out of the sport at the end of the season roughly coincided with Schumacher's abortive decision to replace Felipe Massa, and it was the latter topic that dominated the headlines of the last two weeks.

It was known that team founder and minor shareholder Peter Sauber's attempt to resume control of the Hinwil outfit failed, and thereafter very little was heard about the BMW issue.

Citing insider information, however, Germany's Auto Motor und Sport claims that negotiations between BMW and prospective rescuers have since continued.
The magazine said "several prospective" buyers are in the frame. The BMW insider did not want to give a precise number.
