i think quite the opposite, i think his one asset is raw pace. He is getting outqualified by Rosberg on a regular basis because Rosberg is one of the very top guys in F1 imo. Nakajima is turning into a better racer too and I imagine that it is a matter of him trying to find a balance between over exuberance and going too slowly. Once he finds this balance, he should be half decent at least

I think Bourdais showed more potential than both Nakajima and Piquet. This year he scored a couple of points, very close to his team-mate's three, and in an inferior car which is the Toro Rosso. Last year he was close to a very good result in the wet race that Vettel won.

Agree completely! The difference is that all of these other guys have some other "X" element unrelated to their skill in the car, that keeps them in F1. Piquets is a 3 time WDC father who lobbies on his behalf. For Nakajima is his nationality. I firmly believe that Toyota wants a Japanese driver in F1 and this is how they're doing it.

Even at STR it takes something else to keep a seat. Jaime brought 2 million euros to buy the seat out form under Bourdais ( just to qualify last and finish next to last, great!) and I have a sneaking suspicion Buemi has a dollar/euro/dinar pipeline into the team as well.

Without the X factor its a tough deal.

Nakajima recently revealed that whilst Toyota helped him get the Williams seat, they won't ensure that he stays there, he has to perform and satisfy Sir Frank, Patrick Head and Sam Michael.

Nakajima was kept on because last year's car was so crap, but Nakajima did turn in some good performances, but now this year whilst he has raw pace, he doesn't have the racecraft to even get close to Nico.

Williams are stuck with him until the end of the year though, but he needs to start scoring points.

I am sure williams can let him go at any time, but the question is how much extra would the engines cost if they did. TBH I think Crashajima has done better this year than last year, he has had some solid outings, But sadly for him Nico is in a different leauge all together.

I have been quite impressed with Nakajima this season yet it's to bad he cannot turn his quali perfomances into podium finish's. :banghead:

I have a feeling that when Naka does finally get his first points of the year he might go on the run. The same thing happened with Nico when he managed to finish higher than 7th and has since been on one hell of a role.

But nonetheless, as Bruce Forsythe used to keep saying, "points mean prizes".

What role would that be? Is he auditioning for Spiderman 4? :P

Sorry, I meant roll, but not roll as in Mansell when he chased after that reporter and tripped over or Montoya if he did the same thing. :hehe::hehe:

Luckily I buy the simple "snack pack" from Marks and Spencers which is tuna and rice wrapped in seaweed.
