With FA all but gone (how could he possibly stay?), who's going to take that seat?
Clear favorite has to be NR. The money saved for FA's huge salary could be applied to a severance check for FW.
Nobody wants GF or RS or do they?
How about AS? Good friends with LH, probably as good as LH in the right car (judging from results in lower formulae).
Maybe a long shot for AD?

Think its too late for Rosberg to switch as he's now come out and said he is definately commiting to Williams for 2008.

Could people please just shut-up about alonso leaving. hes not leaving, he said it himself, hes not that stupid to leave a winning team to go to a struggling team, who are slowy getting slower

cap-dude you're missing the point: his position at McLaren is untenable. He's a goner no matter what. He doesn't want to be there and they certainly don't want him there anymore.
And don't forget the LH influence: LH and his dad might well say to RD, either FA is gone or LH leaves for Ferrari.

You'd be amazed what a two-digit number of millions can do :P

Well of course hes going to leave at some point, or you'd be a 100 year old racer.
But hes not leaving soon, so why discuss it now, since when he leaves, the list of avialble drivers will be much different.

and since when did Lewis hate Alonso, the 2 look fine to me right now, anything else is just the media hyping everything up

Your callousness blows me away - are you that dense? FA was at the center of the spy affair that almost cost LH his title hopes and brought a lot of trouble to his team, he then blackmailed RD (LH's sponsor for years) and he behaved unsporting against LH on track. Surely LH and father would prefer not to have to deal with such a lowlife anymore. Cap-dude it would become you to be a better student of the human condition...

^^But both drivers have a contract, and Alonso, being the only able to end it right now, isn't about to

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a clause in his contract that would enable McLaren to end it based on actions and incidents during the spy affair. So, he might get booted by RD. Or he leaves on his own because he realizes he's not wanted there, less so than ever before. So, Renault where they love him is probably the only way for him to go (or a sabbatical or retirement - I wouldn't mind).

FA for Ferrari & KR back to McLaren...oh even @ McLaren....JB/DC/AD/TS/DD?

I can't understand how anyone, other than a desperate outfit, would want Alonso now. After the way the slimeball has acted at McLaren, why would Ferrari want him, why would anyone? He apparently attempted to blackmail the team principal, although not yet confirmed. He has been instrumental, in large part, in McLaren's loss of their championship points and cost the outfit $100 million... hardly a gold plated asset, more like a bloody lead albatross covered in guano!

Good grief....for the first time I find myself agreeing with you DD!
Fa surely can't stay past the season.....he's certainly proved himself unworthy. I think he would fit in just fine with that bunch in the red cars.
