He was also a fresh and excting new driver so I can understand the influx of fans. We're predisposed to support people of our own nationality, if they happen to be very talented then that just makes it a lot easier.

Yeh but there's alot of fanboys out there (or fangirls :P)

that think hes the new Senna or whatever.

....who have all now become Button fanboys because lewis didn't do so well at the start of the season.

Too many on here ;)

yep you saw all the sigs and avatars change after the first few races.

What a day. :)

After what I saw yesterday, I wasn't expecting much from us today. I thought we'd be looking to beat four or five hundred. But there was some awesome playing today and hopefully we can bat well-enough now. Had to listen to this on a terrible radio (long-wave is baaaad) because our interwebz was messy and slow, but it was worth it. :)

Things are looking good for England and a draw will suit the Englishmen more than the Aussies; I can't see anything other than a draw as the outcome looking at the weather for the next few days at Edgbaston. Rain forecast for Saturday and Monday which is a shame as I would love to see England avenge their trouncing in the last ashes tour.

Aye but as you yourself know bud, Scots have ties allllllll over the world.

So much so it makes you want to be Williams Wallace and take pictures

Indeed I do know from personal experience! I have had to wear a Kilt many a time as a child :whip:
I am William Wallace!!

As long as you don't want to be this guy:

Wait a second, so if it rains then it goes to a draw? Is that because each team haven't been able to manage a second innings? (sorry I don't follow cricket, but I keep hearing the weather mentioned on the news)

If so, what a crap rule that is. Make them play in the rain with Wellies

Pretty much. It's one of the reasons why I think cricket is a joke of a sport.

 With rules like that it doesn't exactly appeal to me.
No offence cricket fans.

When you wish upon a star and all that...

I don't like Cricket and it's harder to understand than badly translated English instructions for fake Japanese digital watches.

Test cricket isn't for everyone because of the length of the game; 5 x 7hrs is a long time to watch, maybe Twenty20 cricket would be of more interest; 20 overs (120 balls) per side; all over and done with in 3 hours. I'm a cricket fan and I can't sit there for five days, seven hours a day. Cricket is very much a fair weather sport which makes me wonder why with today's technology don't the major test match grounds have a roof over the playing surface so a combination of floodlights and a roof would solve the problem!

Twenty20 is great but I'll always prefer test matches.

This test will have to be a draw, there's no way they can finish the match now :( I hate the British weather sometimes.
