This is wishful thinking but can't we just agree that while Schumacher will race Hamilton - whatever happens it cannot conclusively prove that Lewis is better or vice-versa.

thanks, i just wonder why people can't just watch and enjoy without griping and sniping.
To be honest, Schumacher (although still very sharp nowadays) is champion of the yesterday.
You seriously cannot expect the new generation of champions to be not as good as him? Or even better?
It is just like when we do charity work, we want to make the next generation to be as well off as possible. You wouldn't want the next generation to stay in the same level as the current generation right?
I think this might not be a good analogy, but I hope you guys will understand.
I think it is not fair to compare Schu with Ham. They are from different generations. Do you expect Niki Lauda, Sir Jackie Stewart, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost ..etc such great champions to be able to beat Lewis Hamilton? As F1 grows, the technology around it also grows, and they are all aim to make F1 drivers faster and better.
With all those pictures shown in the previous page, it really shows that we haven't looked at the big picture. We are not comparing the same type of drivers, but it is interesting to see them race with each other, as a way to see how does the next generation of F1 drivers compare with the F1 champions of yesterday.
And to give evaluation as to the benefits of young drivers' programme such as the ones from Mclaren and STR.
I think the evaluation portion should be what we focus on, and not about "Schu: boohoo I will get beat by Lewis day in and day out if i was racing with him!"
If Schu beats Ham, then that not only shows the talent of the drivers, but also a testament to the driver development programmes.

I thought it might be better if i post it after vaptin's quote about Lewis and MS, but I don't know how to delete the first post.
Sorry about that!
