but c'mon its Schumacher proclaimed greatest driver ever, he should not need a test session to learn how to use KERS. :hehe:

not like its hard anyway

push this button you go faster.

It's hard to push a button when you're old and have arthritic fingers.

Probably.

I'd give it to him. I think driver-injury is something I would consider an "exceptional circumstance" (whereas firing a driver because your have relationship issues is not). I think a compromise could be reached; Ferrari would have to test exactly the car that they used in Hungary. They wouldn't be allowed to alter any of the components used on the car to test the performance. Of course, this would (should?) then mean that any team that was thrust in to the same situation later in the year would automatically be granted the same opportunity.

I agree because he has been out of a car for two years and should atleast have the opportunity to feel out the changes that have been made. It's a very simple way for him to know what to expect performance wise so he can alter the cars setting's to his style and nothing more. The current ban on 'in season' testing is nothing more than a team not being able to change major part's on the car, Michael just want's to get a feel for the current chassis in it's present configuration.

Let's all just enjoy seeing him back in an F1 car/race and quit with all the nitpicking.

I'm ambiguous about the special test for MS. As stated by others: on the one hand he should not need any testing as a 7-time world champion and rules are rules. On the other hand, as some have said, in the name of safety (for everybody involved) and to fulfill the requirements of a super license application, he should get a 300 km/one day practice session. I can live with either way it may go.

Will Ferrari turn off the data loggers? Will they test new parts? I am for equel treatment for the teams! Ferrari will gain an unfair advantage with the data collected new parts or not!

Sky news have just shown a clip this morning of M.S driving the 2007 Ferarri around their test circuit, looked very quick

And what a great sight it would of been. Like the good old times, the greatest F1 driver from Germany in the greatest F1 car from Italy. I have dreamed for so long just for Schumi do do it just one more time after he retired and he has or more correctly will be about to. I am going to enjoy the next few races. Even if Schumi doesn't win. Just watching him will be like no other.................................

Yeah, these cars go about 200mph, so I suppose it will have looked quite quick.

At least you've come to terms with the fact he's not going to win....

Prob best to add in there that you don't care if he finishes last....

...behind the force india's...

...3 laps down....

....and limps out of the car...

...complaining of back pain.

....and has to be put in a wheel chair and taken back to the old drivers retirement home.

If there are no new parts and they test at Mugello, there's little to gain. A car frozen to Hungary-spec would be fine, as far as I am concerned.
