I just want to say;
You all know how I feel about Massa, all the big players on here knows how much I love him. Respect him and how much he is the best driver I have ever seen, herd or even e-mailed or spoke too. When I watched I saw Senna, but then prayed nothing even close happened. But when I herd the news at night my heart dropped, my mouth dried up and I felt sick. A tear rushed to my burning tear duct. I pray and hope he is okay because he is so nice and is a lovely man and soon to be a father. I know some of you will understand exactly how much he means to me, as he is my favorite driver of this century and of this season, I really hope he is okay my heat goes out to his father, his brother and his wife. I know he will be okay!

I have very grave concerns for Felipe. I'm sorry to be Mister-Cup-Half-Empty, but seriously, who could survive a knock like that, or even escape without permanent injury?

I'm not even sure if he would ever race again. Then I was thinking: I really disliked the bloke. But he probably deserved a WDC. I backed Hamilton because he would have won more races than Massa if not for the Spa incident. But Felipe has been in it since 2002. I would love to see him win a WDC before he retires. But I want to see Webber win one first!

It appears that Felipe is quite unlucky at this circuit. Last year he should've won there. My reasons for disliking drivers are unfounded. Just because they drive in a Red Car doesn't mean they should hated. Heck, in the past few races I've been wanting Massa to get on the podium. He's been really helping Webber catch up to Button this year.

When I saw that tire come off Fernando Alonso my heart skipped a beat. Bad Luck often comes in sets of three. (I was thinking, at Imola '94. Ratzenberger died, Barichello seriously injured, Senna died.) I was hoping that we wouldn't follow that pattern.

Weird that you think that way about Massa--he's one of the few drivers that's basically universally liked by the fans. Solid driver, with balls of steel when needed, friendly, young, handsome in a very Latin way, all-around nice guy, what a sportsman should be...And the way he took things last year at Brazil was just amazing.

Having said that, something tells me he won't be back at racing...I think between his recuperation, his love for his wife and his unborn child will keep him off the track, at least from F1.

Heck, I sound like a Ferrari fan. But even though I'm a fan of McLaren and specifically Hamilton, I admire the guy objectively. And to make things even more heavy for me, Massa is my son's F1 hero.

Lauda has some interesting comments about Gene and Bourdais. Unfortunately Niki has more balls than brains. He used to be a great driver but now he generally sounds like a cranky old man and I doubt anyone really listens to him in the paddock.

lets hope that his injuries are not the same as what DeMatta suffered, and he makes a full recovery!

Like Jean Alesi was saying yesterday, Ferrari should bring in a promising rookie/hot prospect: they aren't fighting for the championship and the testing ban reduces the tryout time they can use. Toro Rosso has done it already, and Alguersuari has done quite well actually (he's finished ahead of Buemi).
As for rookies, a few names come up to mind, one of them is called Mirko Bortolotti, he already tested for Ferrari last year, but you might know others worth considering


I think Lauda was too harsh on Gene and Badoer, they are solid testers, however an F1 team that looks at next year should try out someone new.

Meanwhile, Barrichello revealed his thoughts were with Massa, even during the race.

He conceded: "I would love to see him because he is a friend, not just because the spring came from my car.

"It is for the fact that I know he would have done the same for me. But at the same time I have to think of my kids, of my family, and to be there for them, so it is a bit of an emotional moment.

"It is burning a little bit in my stomach, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't thinking of him in the the middle of the race."

Hopefully its just the level of sedation and at some point this week we get word of him talking. I'm really hoping that he has no brain damage, that is my biggest concern.
