Today's race was by no means a classic (they rarely are in Hungary), but it did offer us an interesting race and opened up fascinating dynamic for the remainder of the season.

Let me first congradulate Lewis Hamilton and Mclaren. It really was a strong display by the reigning World Champion, faultless throughout and perfectly played in terms of strategy by the Mclaren Boys. For once I have to agree with Eddie Jordan. Hamilton will have a say in the final outcome of the World Championship. Mclaren probably still don't have the best car in the field, but often in races like today you don't need it. And if they are still slightly behind, I cannot see how they won't catch up and overtake the other teams, given their rate of development.

Another team that proved its worth was Ferrari. A fantastic display from the team today. The car was very quick and we finally got some glimpses of the Raikkonen of old. If only he hadn't made those errors coming out of the pits then he might have been closer to Hamilton. It makes you wonder how successful their weekend really could have been if Massa had been fit.

It is truely untimely that Ferrari are continuing to gather momentum and poor Felipe won't be able to reap any rewards. (In the short term at least)

I thought another good drive today came from Nico Rosberg. So near to the podium today, but a strong drive to overcome his graining issues nonetheless.

I must raise the question as to how well Toyota might have done if they hadn't suffered woes in practice and qualifying? Glock proved once again he is a very very talented racer, if Mclaren lose Rosberg to BMW, they should really jump at the chance to sign him!

Jaime Alguersuari was also pretty decent in his first outing. I didn't expect much from him, nobody did, but he still kept it on the road for a credible result, and set strong enough lap times. Egg on the face of Sebastien Buemi.

The start was a bit hectic, but in no way was Raikkonen guilty of anything. I'm glad he went unpunished. And it was unfortunate for Vettel to suffer suspension problems later in the race. Maybe as i've dubbed it "The STREAK" will continue again this year and Webber will beat his team mate yet again?

Early pitlane releases are uncommon, but should be policed a bit better. Red Bull have had a few fines this year for their pitlane antics this year. They need to clean up.

Finally Renault. A sad race day after the promise of yesterday. If things had went to plan for Alonso, he might well have finished in 5th place, but it wasn't to be.

It is a shame that he couldn't pull away in the opening laps. As soon as he suffered the fuel pump problem on lap two that was it.

Shambolic pitwork by the team, I was fuming with Renault today. Alonso continues to flatter that car and it doesn't look good at the moment.
Piquet has no more excuses. He had the same car, he drove crap and now it's "time to say goodbye"

Havn't missed seeing him, and his same boring, same-old, same-old speech in the press conference.

Although I guess 1 win a season I can cope with!

I am worrying about the Brawns though.

It'll be interesting to see what happens at Valencia, certainly. A couple of the upcoming races should, theoretically, be Red Bull tracks (Spa and Suzuka), but the rest of them could be anyone's, especially with McLaren and Ferrari (and Renault) improving lately.
