I apologise for reacting, however I do get very tired of the largely British reactions to France. Oddly, the situation is not reciprocated in France. Since no one dares to make jokes about Muslims, etc, us French seem to get the entire lot from the Brits.

Please can we talk about the sport we all clearly share and love without recourse to slights against nations

Well bud is ozzy and Ewman is scottish.

And i think your making a silly point there about muslims. And i'd say the Americans are far more abusive towards the French.

Well i dunno about the French not reciprocating, I havent been to France( will in a months time :sickman: ) but i hear stories of mates who get the cold shoulder and the comment "no speaka da engles!" by the French because they think they are English but once they find out they are infact Australian they are all very nice and can all the sudden talk English :hehe:

but hey the French have gotta realise the English speaking world likes to give other nations s***, in a good way. Its our sense of humour, you just gotta take the ribbing and give it back and have a laugh!

Na I like France, Im a frequent traveler to the country and I like its culture and way of life. I have nothing against them.
I think (somewhere in that Channel of ours) there is a bit of a blurr. I think both sides maybe are a bit naive in their understanding of one another.

I go to france lots, have a house there and meet lots of French people. I get on well with all of them, never have a problem. And I'm a Brit
There will always be national stereotypes but meeting real people is the only way to judge. Hey you know, ive got lots of friends who are Brits and they also have no problems with French people, so dont be too hasty to put all us Brits in the category of giving France a hard time. :):)

edit: To get things back on topic, Max Mosley is a very, very bad and embarassing example of a Brit!!!

Take it as a compliment my friend.
People make jokes about the French, becuase they can hack it and don't go crying "racist, racist!" whenever someone makes a joke.
That's the way I see it, and someone will probably take offence to that.
