I know, truth hurts and may seem irrelevant or boring, especially when you live in denial, McLaren fan.

Shock stage: Initial paralysis at hearing the bad news.

Denial stage: Trying to avoid the inevitable.

Anger stage: Frustrated outpouring of bottled-up emotion.

Bargaining stage: Seeking in vain for a way out.

Depression stage: Final realization of the inevitable.

Testing stage: Seeking realistic solutions.

Acceptance stage: Finally finding the way forward.

I think justice has been done truly.
I have nothing againist McLaren, i like the guys, they done a great job.

But its a select few individuals who have ruined it, but somthing had to be done, or what would it be next, teams trying to use bigger engines.
There has to be a punishment to show that cheating is not and will be accepeted, even if it was only a few who ruined it for the whole team, which in the end is a shame. But it has been dealt with, we just have to move on in life

Remember that Ferrari have managed to escape all punishment here. It was their own employee who started this whole fiasco, and who is just as guilty as Coughlan or McLaren. But in the last month or two Stepney has suddenly gone quiet, and nothing has been said about his part in this, as the FIA have focused solely on McLaren.

At the moment, we still don't know exactly what McLaren have been chucked out for. The FIA have said nothing about the reasoning behind the punishment, and as far as we can tell there's no solid proof that anything on McLarens car is from Ferrari ideas.

That's as maybe. However, there's little that the FIA can do about that - it's up to Ferrari to punish their employee, which they have done by firing him.

I'm wondering where all of the $100m will be going. The WMSC/FIA's pockets? Ferrari?

Anyway, to those having a go at McLaren fans for defending the team, would it not be the same if it were the other way around? Surely Ferrari fans would defend JT and co, if they were found guilty of the same thing...

It's not a case of us blindly defending our team. Tha fact is Ferrari, politics, commerce and personal grudges had a huge impact on the way in which the spy scandal was dealt with and the punishment dished out.

Where there's smoke, there's fire. Had McLaren conducted themselves appropriately from the get go and had they done the just thing to do, there would have never been this mess and now this verdict. Don't blame it on everybody else but McLaren - that's blindly defending them right there.

Yeah, yeah. Your anti-McLaren utterances have, are, and will always be boring and irrelevant.

That's why what I was saying is NOT irrelevant, duh - just found this gem:

I guess Ferrari had to win something somehow. The outcome was obvious, the FIA is, and allways has been pro ferrari

Too true. yet again the tail wags the dog. A sorry day for F1 and the FIA.

There was northing on the McLaren car. The information told them that Ferrari was cheating with its moveable floor and McLaren questioned its legality.Todt was extremely pissed off by this. Ferrari should be allowed to cheat.always have been!! Its amazing! McLaren point out that Ferrari are cheating Ferrari get told "dont use that Moveable floor" and McLaren get the ridiculous punishment. :x

McLaren has been punished, the drivers have retained their points. The McLaren fans are entitled to feel disgruntled with the decision. The Ferrari fans probably feel smug.

I have supported Ferrari through their drivers which leaves me in a bit of a quandary. If MS should hop back in the driver's seat next season I will want to continue to follow him, as I have done since before he came to Ferrari. If he doesn't and both Massa and Kimi stay with Ferrari, I support those two drivers. I'm also enjoying seeing Hamilton doing well, and I'm following the careers of Heidfeld, Kubica and Davidson.

Is there a counsellor out there who can help me?

I follow drivers, not teams. And I am looking forward to some fun in the remainder of this season...

As much as I'd like to say I follow Mclaren, I'm finding that impossible at the moment while Fernando Alonso is driving for them. He's a prick. Just listening to his post-race comments from Monza made my stomach turn, finishing with the line "the whole weekend has been good." Thats just not right with the situation his team are in. I'll be glad to see the back of him from McLaren.

Anyway, back on topic, I have a feeling this saga isn't over. If LH or FA (god forbid) wins the championship, then Ferrari will just launch another appeal until they get their own way, as I think we've all come to expect by now.

Why anyone would support Ferrari is beyond me...didn't they just buy a racing team (Alfa) and paint them red :D
Typically Italian...all puff and show, no integrity, and when the game doesn't go their way they call in the lawyers...not that Italians have the faintest clue about abiding any rules...until it suits them!
Now I had better shut up
Good luck to the rest of the drivers for the rest of the season.
Oh and Darwin....chill a bit.
