How can you ban a team, but allow their drivers to continue in the same fraudulent car? They are part of the team, very much so. The only thing I could envision is not handing out a personal ban, i.e., they are allowed to drive for another team.

Because it's a political decision, plain and simple. Murray Walker summed it up well this evening: a giant 'political mish-mash'. What happened is exactly as I expected. Do enough to shag McLaren and Ron Dennis, keep Ferrari off the hook, and keep people interested as the battle for drivers' title hots up. I knew the FIA were low, but this takes the biscuit, even greater than what happened to Senna because of Balestre in the last 1980s and early 1990s. This is Formula One's lowest ebb. Personally, I'm angry, sad, feel sick and disillusioned, but not unsurprised. The damage did the sport has been immense and the damage which has been done to McLaren is far worse. I hope the team appeal, however, what chance have you got when you're up against the Ferrari International Association? I would extend my thanks (and regrets) to everybody envolved with McLaren (exept that clown Coughlan) for their hard work, determination, bravery, and ability to work under such pressures. It's a shame it all had to end like this. Finally, I hope Ron Dennis does not step down or relinquish any of his responsibilities at McLaren. He has done a fantastic job at the helm this year. So, there you are, another dubious title for Ferrari and the consequences have been shown to whomever decide to challenge the God-given right for Ferrari to win everything, everywhere, at any time and at any cost.

1999. Remember those illegal barge boards. Of course, Ferrari said that the performance of the car was not affected so, therefore, you got to keep the points in question which allowed Ferrari to win the constructors' championship that year. Further evidence of the hypocrisy and inconsistency of Ferrari International Association decision making.

Ferrari are false champions. The good thing about the Ferrari mindset is not feeling any guilt. Other Formula One teams should have adopted that reasoning a long time ago.

OK, here's scenario for you...McLaren receive this information, they take this information and go round to the Ferrari garage, hand over the documents and say "A member or members of our team have been receiving and accepting this information from a certain member or members of your team. We do not wish to bring ourselves or the sport into disrepute. Therefore we are returning this information to you with our promise that we have not read or adopted any of the information contained therein. We have reprimanded/sacked the offending member or members of our team and suggest that you look to any member or members of your own team who you feel may have passed this over."
