"I congratulate him and wish him a splendid future" Alonso said.

Since when did Alonso use SPLENDID, since when did a Spaniard use SPLENDID!

No "for sure"

As Michael Schumacher said once, "you said that I didn't".

Massa is right but as a spectator im excited to see what happens.

As a fan, I am always interested to see new people come into the sport.

Let's see if his relationships with other drivers will be a step forward or a step backward after qualifying and race...

where problems stemming from getting out of another driver's quali lap and blue flag situation during race...

I think it might have been him who got in Button's way in the last session, not sure though... he's doing a sensible job so far, just staying out of trouble to get the laps in, even if he's relatively far off the pace.

Well, he's not that far off the pace. I thought that he would be over a second slower than Buemi, but he wasn't. Yes, this is just practice. We'll see what happens tomorrow in the qualifying.

He managed to keep it on the track which is more than can be said of some  Barring his little stall in the pits he seemed to do fairly well today, not too far off the pace considering he's never done any testing.

Yup very credible. The man is realistic, he seems genuinely safe. He should have a good weekend. It'll hopefully be a good learning curve for him.

Well he is last on the grid but he's only 2 sec off Webber's top lap in Q2. That's not horrible. Much of that can be attributed to the car and his land legs which should cure soon.

I am actually quite impressed with him, although in his interview he spoke as if he knew about F1 and how hard it is (usually)

He is last, but he is not really off the pace. Qualifying isnt everything. You saw he had some technical failure in the end of Q1, maybe he struggled with it for the whole session, and thats why he was so "slow". I think we will find out tommorow, how good he is. Jaime is not driving a bad car, Buemi, who is also a novice was 11th, so if his skills fit, he may have some result.
