I realise Loeb has been mentioned in another thread but it took me ages to find it. Here is my question.

Why all the outrage about Danica even being considered for F1 but not so for Loeb?

Personally Id be interested to see how both of them fared but Id say Danica has more going for her than Loeb.

Most people consider her an option because she is racing single seaters, Loeb is in rally... I think that pretty much sums it up.

But thats what I mean. Many people's comments on here suggest they are not happy that she has been considered for F1 yet she is better prepared and younger than Loeb.

Well, Loeb is a multiple WRC champion, Danica has never finished higher than sixth in the IRL championship and (I believe) has never finished higher than third in a single-seater championship outside of karting (if you class karting as single-seater). From their records, I'd say that Loeb seems the more skilled driver and there's no reason he shouldn't make the jump to Formula One if he wants it. Of course, there's no reason that Danica shouldn't, either. :S

 Loeb was fairly quick in his test with Red Bull last year and he was quick in the Pescarolo prototype. Personally I'm not sure why he wants to make the switch, especially when he appears to have a big challenge ahead of him in the WRC.

Reading this week's autosport mag, they seem quite convinced that he'll debut at Abu Dhabi, and maybe even sooner if he can win the WRC early. :scratchchin:

He was saying in an interview ealier this year that he doesn't want to race in WRC if it goes down the route of Super 2000 in 2011. Not enough excitment for him apparently. If Max has his way and gets S2000 regs in next year I think it'll be likely that he'll make the switch.

He was ok. All he's done this year is the simulator cos of the testing rules.
Indy is far more akin to F1 then rally. Im not saying he shouldnt , Id like to see him try but no testing??This weeks autosport says he's very doubtful now about 2010,Abu Dhabi comes too late.

I say a one day test should be allowed, where teams all test people they may want.
We'd see:
Loeb
Patrick
Ide (give a chance(may be dangerous))
Algersuari
Waters
Senna
the rest of them

Loeb clearly has skills, but Danica has actually RACED open wheel racers.
