Well I realise that the cost cutting measure will have an impact, but I still think that the rules will allow for the likes of Mclaren and Ferrari to spend alot more money on their cars compared to Williams. Despite budgets being reduced in principle, Rosberg has to properly weight up his options. Mclaren will try to tempt him because they seem the more likely team to return to success...

I like Williams alot and I hope your right. Hopefully the next few races will give Rosberg some perspective as to where he wants to drive next year.

the honda and button situation is quite different, that car is a honda underneath the brawn stickerss, and an expe nsive one too

i dont think williams will contest another championship until strict cost cutting is in pplace, i not a fan of williams btw

and on that note good night lol

I like Williams but can't see them returning back to the top tbh.
I hope they do though.

I think it's quite possible, however I do think they would have to be in a situation like they were with BMW unless the regulations were a lot looser and they could innovate. If they get a major engine supplier behind them (they could try tempting Audi, for example) then they might be in with a chance.

I agree. Hopefully with the slash in budgets over the next couple of years a big manufacturer (please let it be Audi) could come in and supply a team like Williams with engines only.
At the moment the only way Frank and Patrick could possibly tempt any car company would be by offering them a share in the business, something Williams (rightfully) have fought hard against for so long, even if it has dried up their success.

BMW want to supply engines to teams next year. Do you think Williams will be tempted to run BMW engines again?

Possibly, but didn't they have the option to run BMW engines in 2006 and not take it up? I definitely think that the BMW engine has more power than the Toyota engine.

I dont know, but I wont be surprised if that '06 option is true because of Williams' stubbornness. If I were Williams I would get in contact with BMW, it might not be as reliable as the Toyota but it is probably more powerful, like you said. They could go for Renault too because dont Red Bull want to switch to Merc engines?

Why would a team want engines that blow up so often? :p Haven't BMW had the most engine failures so far this year?

Hey, if it means winning races and not finishing some. I'm pretty sure Williams will go for it, especially considering the situation they're in right now.
