It's been going downhill since the mid-70s who are we kidding?

Agreed, but its the current lot who put the icing on the cake for me

However the way things are going it'll probably be replaced by something worse.

yup vote out one shower of monekys and vote in one of the others, none of which are very good at anything except making promises they cant keep

Amen to that. That is why we should listen to the arts :wink:

I dno about going off topic. In terms of the UK it is important to criticise the current government. For it there responsible for our health and wellbeing with the spread of this disease and by the looks of it they keep changing their policies on swine flu when it is out of their control. Some feel very claustrophobic in today's society.

but thats the seasonal Flu, thats not media worthy. 29 is massive compared to 20k

I've noticed they've gon from 29 people die from swine flu to

TWENTY NINE PEOPLE DIE HORRIBLY FROM SWINE FLU

6 YEAR OLD DIES FROM SWINE FLU

Which is terrible and all but...i don't like the drama about it.

well yes it is a horrible death you get septicemia and die horribly and painfuly.

the 6 year old is a worrying case healthy girl and gets the bug and dies withing 48hours.

I think the predicted death toll is scary aswell, 65,000 in the uk is an awful lot of people
#133638
How many died from spansih flu.
I know it was more that the war, but that doesnt help really.

i might add thats in the uk alone

What 100mil of Spanish flu? There would have been nobody left in the country.

Fine it might not be so deadly, but it will still mess up everything (e.g economy etc.)
Longbow, you aint gonne be moaning about the media if you get it.
People will be off work and that wont help the poo economy.

my uncle is a manager in HSBC and they have all been offered it already hsbc has brought aload of tamiflu for all its banks, there terrified the implications its going to have i read that 1 in 8 are expected to get it in the uk alone, that will cripple companys.

People well moan if the news talk about it to much, or would moan they don't talk about it enough.

They cant win

But some of the spread isn't helped by the stupidity of some of the health practices.

One of my relatives was suspected to have it, but instead of sending a doctor to their house (as instructed) they told her to come up to the hospital. I mean come on that is just asking for it!

She didn't have it though, but she had pneumonia eep.

Precidely.
1 in 8 is a fair few, and enough to start worrying about, especially if you work with the public.

i agree news papers are the main problem with there sensationalist headlines, i think its very news worthy. I know 2 people that have it 1 am very worried about as she is pregnant and cant take tamiflu. She has been waiting 4 days to take something else but there isnt any in kent.

I got to so im worried the at risk age group seems top be kids and babys, and my little boy has had nout but health problems.

I think alot of people are under rating the bug.
