Things have changed, i am now learning also in my Dads 1.8 TDI focus estate, but by time everything has fell into place i will need a big reliable car. No boy racer  i am looking at a Audi A3 or A4 or maybe a Vauxhall Vectra. As i will be travling far each day. So i will need somthing with a big tank ;)

First car tare around? Maybe a Renault Clio V6 (replica with a 1.4 16V engine) make over for £2K-£4k. Then by time i have enough cash i will turn it in for a nice big car  as i said above. I think i'm going to age before my time. No boy racer crap anymore, just a serious business man

remember with power comes weight and then weight f*cks everything up , your going to need better and bigger brakes , better tyres , your going to need to make the car "breathe" better to with a full exhaust !

Gee I'm pretty sure he wont be buying a race car

uhhh noo i know hes not , but if you go added more weight to a car its not going to stop as well as it would have before you added everything so 1st port of call before u dont anything is brakes and tyre , i thought everybody knew that.......seems not :P:whip:

I don't want to be a usual twatty lad. I have seen a beautiful Renault Clio V6 replica. Looks and sounds amazing, it has cream/half leather bucket seats. Special 2 dim touch screen interface.

No sh!t sherlock, of course adding more weight to the car wont make it stop as well. I'm pretty sure the car VB buys wont have a gigantic supercharger or big block in it, and I'm pretty sure he wont be racing it. Besides if VB does end up buying one of these cars, chances are, it will only have an intake and exhaust system in it. So buying better brakes and tires doesnt really make sense now does it? I'm sure you know that, I mean after all, you are a mechanic

upgrading brakes is important when you add a lot more power than the factory setup. It is one of the areas that people overlook! they just want big dyno figures but they forget they need to stop the thing.

I'm aware of that bud. But almost all the time these guys that put all these body kits, black rims and stuff only put an intake and exhaust in their cars. I wouldnt necessarily call that a substantial increase in power. Now if VB were to put a turbo in it, that would be a different story, but putting a turbo in a car thats built N/A costs a lot of money, well from what I've heard. i'd rather get a car with a factory turbo in it already, than going through the hassle of modding a lesser car.

Whats the point.
A car is something that has 4 wheels mostly, and is designed to get you from A to B and sometimes to C.
Aslong as it does that, be happy.

haha fair play mate your a t*sser ! do you know what a corner is being an american ? he was talking about putting a 2.0l engine in a car which is designed to be a 1.2 ! of course thats going to f*ck the ride up ! it doesnt matter if he going to race it or not ! and no matter what you do to a car , they are the most important things to change and to upgrade but i didnt think you would know that not having to take corner's

Gentlemen chillout alittle ok as we are supposed to be assisting VB with knowledgeable input not argueing amongst ourselves as to who know's more .

VB get what you want and after that when you have certain issue's or concern's digest the opinion's given and make your own conclusion's.
