I still can't stand Jonathan Legard, especially when he interrupts Brundle to say something completely and utterly stupid. I miss Murray. Eddie Jordan was his usual ridiculous self, his reaction to the Barrichello incident was totally over the top.

I felt the BBC's coverage today was kinda anti-climatic. Does anyone agree or was it me having an off day?

felt it was shocking today, the commentators were pants :banghead:

Even Brundle? Even on a bad day I usually find him quite informative and reliable. Legard is another story.

Look at it this way. I switched to 5 live commentary.

The issue to me is that there is no chemistry between Legard and Brundle. It's like they're not even in the same room at times. Crofty and Davidson talk to each other, during commentary, discuss things and come up with some genuinely interesting stuff. They talk like good mates, which adds a dimension to the commentary. Allen and Brundle had much better chemistry i'd say.

I suspect that Brundle is sat there thinking "this guy's an idiot", that's what I'm doing when I watch.

I thought Legard and Brundle were going to come to blows when Brundle explained why he thought banning refueling was a bad thing for F1. Legard seems genuinely flabbergasted and took it at a personal slight that Brundle was so definite about why refuelling is an important element of F1.

Seriously, Legard is sometimes so clueless it's embarassing. There was one moment where Vettel was coming in for his final stop - everyone knew it was his final stop apart from Legard, who couldn't remember, so he said "here's Vettel in for his... err... stop"

Has anybody listened to the CBBC commentary for the race? I was tempted to listen to it for a little bit. How crap is it? :hehe::hehe:

At least during this year's Valenci-yawn race there shall be no mention of tomato throwing contests or McLaren strategists "working in darkened rooms like WW2 codebreakers"... unless Legard feels daring and gets bored. :D
