From other news reports Alonso has denied these latest rumor's as untrue?

Yup, although i guess that is to be expected... although i have seen/read other interviews where he has said some quite cryptic things regarding a move to Ferrari, which makes me think that something is definitely going on.

Renault CEO expects Alonso to stay
Contract in place, Ghosn not expecting changes
10/07/09 13:24

The CEO of Renault on Friday said he expects Fernando Alonso to remain with the French carmaker's Formula One team in 2010.

Carlos Ghosn was responding to widespread rumours, also denied by the Spanish driver at the Nurburgring, that double world champion will switch to Ferrari.

"As far as I am concerned, he'll be driving a Renault next year," Ghosn told radio Europe 1.

Alonso penned a two year contract with Renault, announced last November, that will take him through to the end of the 2010 season.

Ferrari also has both of its drivers under contract for the same time period.

Alonso admits Ferrari an 'option' for future
“What happens in the future is difficult to predict”
10/07/09 12:15

To the English-speaking media on Thursday, Fernando Alonso swore blind that reports of a looming Ferrari switch are not true.

The Spaniard however also gave interviews at the Nurburgring to reporters in the native tongues of Spain, France and Italy.

To the Spanish sports newspaper AS, he admitted that Ferrari is an option for the future.

"I have often said that I want to be in a car that allows me to win. In 2005 and 2006 everyone dreamed of the Renault, but in the last ten seasons Ferrari have won more championships than us.

"That's why Ferrari is the option that everyone has in mind, because of their successes of the past decade. You want to go where you will have the best car," said Alonso.

In another newspaper, El Mundo, the 27-year-old insisted he has "always been ready to go to a team like Ferrari."

"What I mean is that I am not demoralised, I am not sad, I am simply in delay.
It's like in the Tour (de France). I'm now in the stage where I am reserving my energy for the mountains, because it's then that I am going to be on top," Alonso added.

He refused to predict how his native country would react to the official news that he is switching to the famous Maranello-based team.

"I don't know, I am not a fortune teller. It is necessary to have this race in Germany, to see what happens in the championship, and what happens in the future is difficult to predict," said Alonso.

As I said, it's always the same with Alonso. One day he flatly denies the rumours about his moving to Ferrari, and the next he drops fairly large hints he'll be based in Maranello before too long.

i won't ;)

I think he's keeping it stush, but maybe McLaren might have him back again ;)
you never know, but Ferrari do seem the obvious, but i can just see Kimi getting frustrated with F1. Like he did in the McLaren days.

That's my thoughts too. While Alonso's not my favourite driver, he's up there and I'm really not a Ferrari fan.

From F1 Live:

Fernando Alonso's manager has admitted the 'possibility' that the Spaniard will one day drive for Ferrari.

Alonso, currently a Renault driver, denied the latest reports of a 2010 switch last weekend at the Nurburgring, but does not hide his affection for the Italian team nor its attractiveness as an employer.

"Fernando would love to drive for Ferrari one day," said his manager Luis Garcia Abad, "that is not a secret. But it is a little early to talk about that possibility," he is quoted as saying by the French newspaper Liberation.

Renault announced a new contract with Alonso last November that takes the double world champion through to the end of the 2010 season when both Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen are out of contract with the Italian team.
