For the past 3 or 4 races the channel speed has not been showing the Formula 1 races at all. All they show is qualifying. I tried to email them, but their website sucks! It has no contact info and only feedback. Why am I paying for this sh*t???? Does anyone else show Formula 1 in the USA besides speed? Am I the only one in the USA with this problem??? Your thoughts guys, thanks.

I don't know about where you live but here in Canada, any F1 stuff on Speed(except the roundup) is blacked out to Canadian viewers who use legal Canadian carriers. I have Bell Expressvu(satellite) as my TV provider, and during F1 Qually and races the Speed Channel is in blackout to me. If it's blacked out that means that Speed IS broadcsting F1. The reason it's blacked out is TSN(which mercifully relays me the BBC feed) has the rights in Canada and no one else is allowed to show it, so any Canadian TV provider must black it out. It's happened every race this year so I assume Speed has been showing every race. You might want to query your TV provider. Blackouts are the product of a rights issue and can't be blamed on the broadcaster if they are broadcasting it.

At leat I don't have to hear Bob Varsha or Derek Daily!

I got tired of this kind of thing back in the 90's . The answer is Bit Torrent. The BBC coverage is much better than Speed anyhow. The Speed guys operate from a studio in North Carolina and aren't even at most races. Te BBC guys are always at every race.

I'm in the US. I am in NYC. In the financial capital of the world and I can't see one stupid race live! If I can't watch F1 live on my day off from a long week at work then speed and BBC sucks! I don't care how often BBC is at the track. If I can't watch it then its useless to me.

How long do u think this sh*t will go on? :banghead:

It's for 4 races - I think this is the third in the series. After that, it'll be live on Speed again. It's done to reach a greater audience (FOX is broadcast all over the States whereas Speed is only available on upgraded cable).

At first I was exited to hear that it was going to air on FOX, and then I watched the first race in Turkey... It was complete and utter sh!t. Every 5 seconds or so it would either black out or get all distorted for a moment, the most notable instance was about 3 seconds into the race, I missed almost everything that happened in the first few turns, this went on all race... After already being rather annoyed at the poor video feed, I had almost gotten used to it when with about 10 laps left, it cut to my local FOX weather man with a "Tornado Warning" and spent about 5 minutes showing me radar images! After that was over there was still about 7 laps to go, at this point i'm really pissed, but I think i'm in the clear, I was wrong. Not more than 2 laps passed, and again, they cut back to the stupid weather man and another "Tornado Warning". this was virtually identical to the first one and went on until the final lap of the race. I saw the checkered flag wave, but not much else.

If anyone from FOX is reading this, unless the tornado is about to rip off my roof, suck me up into the air, and tear me apart into a million tiny peaces, I ain't interested. And under no other circumstanses, DO YOU INTERRUPT MY RACE!!!

The British Grand Prix was a hint better, but its not hard to improve on garbage.

This is absolutely true. I really wonder why some of the folks grousing here don't simply download the races.
