Data sharing at McLaren

German publication Sport Bild claims that McLaren Mercedes granted Fernando Alonso some protection of his car's setup from Lewis Hamilton in Turkey and for the rest of the season.

Sport Bild claimed that Hamilton's side of the garage was no longer able to simply emulate his team-mate's settings and contends that it could have led to the mistreatment - and subsequent failure - of his right-front Potenza in the race.

McLaren denied the claim this morning, telling F1-Live.com that the report 'is not correct' and that "we have complete transparency within the team."

Alonso reportedly set up his car to go particularly easy on the right-front Bridgestone in Turkey, where there is an unusual abundance of left hand bends - including the severely punishing turn-eight.

A few months ago, rumours surfaced that Alonso's side of the garage was not sharing his car setups with Hamilton's. The reports were also deemed false then. The media are clouding things so much now that you don't know what is it and isn't true.

perhaps thats exactly why alonso dosent want to share his data with hamilton
