The team I've chosen is based on people and organisations who are active in Formula One at the moment.

Team Organisation: McLaren. The Technology Centre and team's obsession with clinical attention to detail speaks for itself.

Engine: Mercedes-Benz. With all of their internal politics now sorted, the company's top-class facilities are starting top pay. Easily the most powerful and drivable engine on the grid.

Designer: Adrian Newey, provided there is a good nuts and bolts mechanical engineer (such as Patrick Head) working alongside him to ensure his cars are reliable and solid as well as fast. Williams twigged onto this and got the best out of Newey, whereas McLaren allowed him to do what he wanted and it was fiasco for the most part.

Technical Director: Ross Brawn. The name speaks for itself. No more explication is required.

Drivers: Fernando Alonso (if he will except equal status with with his team-mate) and Sebastian Vettel.
