I was just watching alittle of the last Barret-Jackson auction and they had a 1970 Ford 302 Mustang go for $100K :yikes: !! I had a buddy back in high school that baught a mint '70 302 for $5K, I hope he kept it! Here are a few pics of the car, not his, but identical.

Aswell another good friend from high school baught a mint early '70's Barracuda convertible with a 440/six pack ( 440ci w/3 two barrel carbs) that was stolen in less than 6 months. His was blue and not the red in the pic but they were identical otherwise and that car is now valued well north of $100K.

Dang Boss 302's are badass! My pops has a '66 GTO, too bad its a rust bucket now...

ill buy it off him! :D

Good luck, my dad would rather let it rust than sell it. It was a nice car, it had a lot of power. It has an engine from a '68 GTO which were 350 hp stock, and he threw in a racing cam, and cut off the mufflers which gave it that thundering muscle car sound. Not a very fuel efficient car to drive. :hehe:

Speaking of GTO's a guy in my neighborhood owned a GTO 'Judge' convertible that we all drooled over growing up. My friend Robert told us all that someday he would own that car and by god 20yrs later he finally baught it! The first day he owned it he let all of us drive it and it was DA BOMB!!!!! I'll never forget that day and my experience driving it as long as I live. He regretably sold it to buy real estate yet till this day he still says it's the worst mistake he ever made, the car was completely stock and in mint condition and would easily fetch $150+K today.

Here is a pic of the identical car he owned:

When I first arrived here in the US; I was flicking through the channels and came across Speed TV; and on at that time was the Barrett-Jackson auction show and Carroll Shelby's personal GT500 went for almost $750k. I was floored and a little jealous; the GT500 is my favourite American car ever!

Yah I saw that episode. When I was 16 and bagging groceries around '79, I loaded groceries into a '69 Shelby GT500 convertible for a guy with his 3yr old daughter. I was drooling and asking him questions about it and I asked him if he would ever sell it and he replied no because he was going to give it to his daughter when she turned 16, lucky biatch :hehe: .

'68-'69's were the best GTO years imo. I love how the tach is on the hood of those years, but I dont care for convertibles much :/

It's alright for some; my father never owned anything worth having; he was a fan of British Leyland cars and had an Austin Morris 1100; not exactly high performance!
