1. Alonso
2. Raikkonen (but unsure, because it is only when he can be bothered)
3. Vettel (after his dominating races)
4. Hamilton
5. Jenson? (probably because of this season)

Actually, maybe Massa should be in there somewhere.

You've got Raikkonen twice... Is that cos you think he's twice as good as everyone else? :hehe:

Hahah

I agree with ivey. I think that Hamilton does make things more interesting, and his first 2 years show that. Its also true that its less interesting him battling for places outside the points, but at least he is still battling. in todays GP, his battle with Alonso was pretty much the highlight, and it was all over 16th!

Yeah but it seems like Hamilton is being made out to be the sole reason for everything being how it was, which is, frankly, a laughable suggestion.

Yeah that's my point, he should race alone!

You don't get the point, if there was no Hamilton in F1 it'd be boring. No other drives so agressively so there wouldn't be so many overtakes. Alonso, Raikkonen and others are patient, which most of the time pays them off but it's not exciting to watch.

Hmm. Somehow, I find that your statement is flawed. I wonder why that could be..?

Yeah I wonder...

Sebastian Vettel
Felipe Massa
Lewis Hamilton
Kimi Raikkonen
Fernando Alonso

Vettel-With a bad car and in the sister team? He pulls a phenomenal win! with the chances of being the real next Schumacher, i can only hold my breathe until he does

Felipe- Such talent? Charisma? Such a nice guy? You herd me, he's an awesome driver and just such a nice due, cool, collected? Dedicated to his country and bright? As you can tell by his helmet, a future challenger and WDC

Lewis- The best British driver in my opinion, he over whelmed us with such success in his first year? A little moody, but wouldn't everyone with his success to failures so quickly? He's an awesome driver that is the very best in the Biz, I take back all my un-called for pathetic comments that i have made about him. A cool guy that will beat Schumacher's Record.

Kimi- Cool guy? Attitude? But a WDC. He still has it, but he is not consistent enough? Is he really losing his touch? What happened in Silverstone? I'm losing faith in Kimi but he has had some awesome races, and really has took my breathe away in he past and present.

Fernando- An awesome driver and has 2 WDC? Your only s good as your car? back in them days he brought a real inner out and took it 1 step further! Now in 09 he has a peace of :bs: underneath him but can bring it into the Q3 zone? Awesome! But Ferrari have to collect this Spaniard NOW!

You got that right, he's talented but this season it's only through his car, It's just dominant, not equal.

Only his car  how come he's won 6 more races than his team mate! I don't think he's had any accidents, contact, spins or anything this season either... maybe in practice? Can't think of any though. :scratchchin:

Actually, now i've put it like that... :hehe:

Said this already. I certainly rate Button, and certainly others do. Its more than just the car. He's earned just about every race victory this year through skill.

People should have a look at what Button was doing before F1. Many named him the best driver of 2004. People forget, Button has never really had a great car.

Actually, during practice in Turkey. He ran wide in turn 1. Apparently Ross said he gave Jenson a hard time for that :hehe: In humorous way I take it. Even so, everyone ran wide on that corner that weekend if I recall rightly. As Jackie Stewart says, the fastest drivers don't even look their going fast. That applies to Jenson.

1. Alonso, as others have said already, I believe him to be the most complete driver on the field. Hes fast, overtakes well, and is extremely consistent.
2. Raikkonen, though I have seen little to impress me lately, back in his McLaren days he was amazing. (Probably my least favorite driver on the grid.)
3. Hamilton, great when he's in a fast car, terrible when he's not. (His qualifying performance this weekend was shameful compared to Heikki.)
4. Button, finesse and consistency. He overtakes well too, but its hardly noticed because its usually in the first few laps.
5. Massa, hes just good.

Both Sutil and Fisichella really impress me, did anyone see Fisichella's double overtake at Silverstone this weekend? It was simply ridiculous. I think they are both under-rated because of their ride.
Sebastian Vettel, he has won 3 races in a year and a half and everyone is throwing him up as a top 5? Red Bull obviously had the best car this weekend, and because Jensen had a bad qualifying session, he was really just racing against Webber and Barrichello, two old men who have lost their pace. I'm not saying that he's not extremely talented, because I think he is, but he has made a number of big mistakes this season, Albert Park, Monaco, Turkey... Its way too early to be calling him the next Schumacher. (This is not to say that I don't still love the guy)

The Toro Rosso last year wasn't the best car by a long shot and still he won Monza in the rain - legendary drive.

Yes that is why I like Vettel so much as he seem's to be afraid to lift and will push his car and his nerve to the limit which imho is the sign of a truelly great driver or is it just because he is young and feels invinsible?
