He was quite a good sport to play along with that...

Michael Schumacher is clearly not the Stig. I imagine Ferrari would only allow the 'bat-car' to be driven by one of their drivers, so they cooked up a plan for Schumacher to be the Stig for the day, combined it with an interview and as an added bonus they can stifle the Stig rumours for a while.

Quite clever, really...

What a lap by Micheal Schumacher He was right on the limit...
Of a certain camera-mans face. Top Gear back at their usual brilliance.

I'm guessing it was Schuy in the FXX though. That'd be the only reason Ferrari let them have one. Plus, you could tell that wasn't the Stig driving. Stig is usually much more aggressive and tail happy.

Still, I would've liked to have seen a proper lap from Schuy. Slightly disappointed.

They couldn't have let him do a real lap in the reasonably-priced car. He'd show up Button, Hill, Hamilton etc. massively. Besides, that joke lap was the funniest thing I've seen for a while

We did see one - the FXX! Nah, i know what you mean. I guess cause they already had the Stig do a reasonably priced car lap... annoying either way.

It was quite a shock at first, but then shortly after I twigged that it was just a stunt, somehow I don't think Schumacher would have agreed to driving the Renault R24 when the Stig did a lap in it a few years ago.

Did anybody notice the Stig appearing at Silverstone this weekend?

Might explain what he was doing in Kent when he crashed last year. But I don't think the stig is just one driver.

Nah, no way is it. Renault F1 car was apparently Fisichella, Toyota F1 was i think Trulli, one of the Ferrari test drivers did the Enzo for example. Ben Collins does a lot of the laps though.
