Don't bullpoo and put your FAVORITE drivers first, just say what you actually think.

1. Lewis Hamilton - I think i don't need to explain. Fast, young, talented, interesting. He's the one who made F1 great for 2 years.
2. Felipe Massa - Last year his and Hamiltons battle was great, Massa had a few accident's where he had nothing to do with it.
3. Fernando Alonso - Just give him a good car, will ya?
4. Kimi Raikkonen - That's a tough one, he hasn't proved himself this year, but I believe if he was motivated, he could be one of the fastest guys
5. Robert Kubica - Mr.Consistent

Sorry, no love for Vettel (yet) and Button, this year they have far better cars than other ones. I believe Vettel could hit top 3 soon, but for me he hasn't proved himself. Same goes for Button.
You may think I put Lewis on top because he's my favorite, but look into truth, there's no one who's as talented as him. I also hate Massa and i don't like Alonso, but I have to be true this time.

OPINIONS? When you think your drivers could be arguable, put explanations.

First 3 choices are easy - Alonso, Hamilton and Raikkonen. Any list without these 3 is actually just wrong.

The other two though... you could make strong cases for several drivers, eg Massa, Vettel, Kubica, Button etc etc etc... :scratchchin:

1. Alonso
2. Vettel
3. Raikkonen
4. Massa
5. Hamilton

Button is in 6th. While Kubica & Rosberg have still not really convinced me enough.

1. Alonso. Can't stand him, but I can't deny that he is the most complete, talented driver on the track. A born champion, if a little arrogant.
2. Hamilton. Pure raw talent and such a belief in his abilities. Captivating. Lacks technical knowledge and a little immature
3. Raikkonen. Unpredictable, but so fast. Occasionally lacks motivation and the grit of a truly great champion.
4. Vettel. Fast and has real flair. But unpretentious - a really nice guy. Sometimes wonder if he can be ruthless and singleminded enough to be champion.
5. This one is quite difficult, but I'll go for Button over Kubica and Massa because of his consistency and his ability to persevere and get results out of a poor car.

Your all loonies. Where's Yuji Ide :irked:

On a serious note. In no order whatsoever:
-Alonso
-He irked me during 2007, after being completely childish. But he's proved again what a true champion he is last year, with his win in Fuji being the absolute highlight.
-Hamilton
-Your first race ever, your team-mate is the double former world champion, and you jump him into turn 1. To think Hamilton was doing what he was doing in 2007 is phenomenal. Unfortunately, he has tendency to overcook the tyres, and his 100% flat out style can sometimes be his un-doing. But you can't question what he's done in just two years.
-Massa
-Some may disagree, and fair enough. But what I see in Massa, is a driver who is able to rise to whatever challenge is set out in front of him. He's improved, year after year. This year I think he's turned into a real racer. He would've jumped Kimi at Monaco, had he not been held up, and in Silverstone he did indeed jump his team mate, along with 3 other drivers. He's been criticized for being poor in the wet. But he was peerless at Interlagos 08, and China 09 he was set to get in among the Brawns before an electrical failure.
-Vettel
-He won in a Toro Rosso, on a day when no other driver had any excuses. He beat the whole field on pace, in a Toro Rosso. Vettel's drive this weekend at Silverstone was the stuff of legends. Half a second quicker in quali, and then 1 second per lap quicker in the race. There's no doubt he'll be WDC at the very least once. He's calm, and you could easily say he's complete. Except I would argue he lacks force and aggression at times when fighting on track for positions.
-Button
-Undermined really by his car the last two years, and people very easily forget what he'd been able to do the previous years. In 2004, he was best of the rest. A group that included, drivers like Alonso, Montoya, and Raikkonen. This is the first year Jenson has been given a race winning car, and he has been flawless. It was 6 out of 7 wins. The same as Schumacher, Clark, Mansell etc. When your compared to drivers like that, your clearly talking about an extremely talented driver

No Kimi. He's a great driver, but any one of those drivers would win against him in the same car, one of them has and is.

In my opinion, not one driver on the feild is complete. Because everyone has their flaws. Even if those 5 drivers where all in the same car, I say, you'd never have a clear superior driver.

Unless it was a Renault... :hehe:

Not true...

Also not true :P

Edit: Whoops. Didn't actually mean to double-post >.<

in no particular order...

Vettel - i tipped him to win it this year. Maybe a bit too ambitious but he will be world champion one day.
Hamilton - works hard, not making bulls**t excuses for this year, and looking ahead to next year - struggling but still acting the part.
Rosberg - potential to go a long way in the sport. been quietly improving.
Barichello - maybe not world championship material, but consistently good, and you dont stay in F1 as long as him unless you have something
Webber - has a good understanding of the sport, and in particular this year is pushing hard in the Red Bull

The likes of Kimi, Button, Massa, Alonso are all super super drivers but all have something missing.
Alonso would be my 6th place. Maybe im being harsh because he is just having a hard time at the moment and works hard but there we have it!
Button is shining in the Brawn (ok until today) but can he handle the pressure long term? i hope so - and i think how he reaacts next year (ad champ or not) will be the teller.
That said, i dont think there is any complete driver at the moment...and i stick by my pre season pick of the crop, i think Vettel is the true rising star at the moment, and the closest to completion. That said, we are all forgetting Hamilton, lets not forget how good he was last 2 years, and i think that the future battles could be between Vettel and Hamilton.
i guess im bein harsh to all because im thinkin off the track too, about the complete driver and sportsman on n off the track.

Please explain, what's wrong with my ratings on Hamilton. Fast - must be true. Young - Absaolutely. Talented - He beated Alonso in his FIRST year. Interesting - Very agressive and makes a lot of overtakes when necessary. If you're not okay with me placing him first, it's okay - I don't need everyone praising him but beating Alonso in 2007 made it clear to me. Last year also, there was no one who could stop him. Only thing that made last year exciting were his stupid mistakes which disappear while he get's older and also Belgium killed his momentum, but he fought back.

Kubica was great all year long in 2008 but in the end something happened. Maybe too optimistic to put him to 5th position while he hasn't proved nothing. Maybe put Button on 5th place, he's VERY consistent this year.

What has Vettel proved? This year is a duck for F1. Last year's Italy he was fortunate it started raining at wrong time so Hamilton couldn't get a better starting position. He was a beast and made like 10 overtakes. Vettel had to fight with Kovalainen, Bourdais and Webber. I agree - he's better than them.

Can't say nothing about Rosberg, Williams haven't put up a considerable car for years.
